Headphone Reference Mix Set Up
Michayl Asaph Myers replied to Michayl Asaph Myers's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Thanks John... I am able to go to a stereo and listen through that using the 3/4 outputs. I think I will look into a dedicated dac headphone amp and then route 3/4 to that. Thanks again! -

Ok... lets see if I can make this a little clearer than mud. I have the MOTU M4, it has 4 outputs, 2 stereo pairs and when I mix my tracks, I like to set up a blank audio track, set that tracks input to the loopback mix input and then I mix down in real time to the blank track, instead of just bouncing, or exporting. I recently received the Slate VSX headphone system and I would like to monitor through that while I'm mixing down without VSX affecting the mix, ie: reference through VSX, but the VSX is not going onto the mixdown. Hope that makes sense... I've been using Cakewalk for 25 years, and I tried several different things, but I can't seem to figure out a away to do it. Thank you for any help. Michayl.

Not Liking the look of the New Sonar Interface
Michayl Asaph Myers replied to mark foster's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I really do not like the "new" look.... I'm kind of surprised they went with the some what Ableton look. I was kind of hoping for the Reaper themes set up, but oh well. -

[SOLVED] Inspector Not Following Track Selection

In the Track Inspector, left click (NOT RIGHT CLICK) on the track name at the bottom of the inspector view and a menu will come up.... at the bottom of this menu it says "Lock the current track or bus", unselect it. Mine was selected for a track and it was locked. Like Steve_B said, who new? -

[SOLVED] Inspector Not Following Track Selection
Michayl Asaph Myers replied to Wong Jian Ming's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
UPDATE: Rolled back to previous version, no change.... reinstalled latest version, no change. I opened some other projects to check and the tracks I opened worked..... hmmmmm....... I looked at everything I could possibly imagine, and I can't figure out why it is locked on a specific track in the inspector view, no matter which track I select. Strange. -
[SOLVED] Inspector Not Following Track Selection

I am having this same problem..... has there been any word from Cakewalk about this, or there a fix for it? It is very annoying and hinders the workflow. -
I've tried screen sets, mix recall, but I can't seem to get them to work with this problem. I keep having the problem of opening a project, clicking over to Console View, or Piano View, and they seem to always open up a third of the way, or three quarters of the way, or even just barely visible.... sooooo I stretch them to full size (fully opened) and continue working, then if I double click on a midi track to open the piano roll view, it again only opens part way, or two thirds the way , or even barely open. When I open a project to start working, again, all the views (except the main view, of course) are back to everything but full view. Is there any switch, or setting to make all views always open full view? I would really like that feature. I'm probably doing something wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

Step record does do this.... thanks Scook!

Does anyone know if Cakewalk does midi step input like Guy Michelmore does on his video's in Cubase? I think that feature could be very useful. Thank you
