  3. The text roughly reflects how I currently think about the future of this forum of ours. Why do so many people write really inappropriate things here that clearly lead to thread closures and bans? I fear that if this continues, this forum will be closed very soon.
  4. Yes, and therefore: Mod classics and 60's
  5. To bad, Presonus and this comes after Presonus faced criticism for its Pro Users over recent decisions around UG pricing etc. ? In general, I believe that the market for DAW developers is shrinking and that the providers are vying for every dollar etc.
  6. If you like Cocko, go and reap ... That's right, but a gift like this creates a certain sympathy, so assuming you like the gift, right? The best value of DAWs ist CbB.
  7. It's good that you wrote that. I used to think that companies like Fender and Wilmar worked for free and just for fun.
  8. If you set standards like that; what about Fender (Presonus belongs to their group)? For decades, the best woods were harvested from the jungles of South America and Asia for Fender guitars, and why do you only think of the deforestation of the Asian forests when you have to pay for sonar? You are customer of Bandlab, even if you may not be aware of it, but you are also supporting them by paying them through your use of the DAW - you generate online traffic aso. Bandlab has already generated money from you. One of the biggest manufacturers of biodiesel in the world, which is required for the creation of greener fuels, is Wilmar. Furthermore, Wilmar. continuously raises its own criteria for the production of palm oils, as do the US, EU, and other countries. As a result, Wilma is one of the biggest producers and is the only focus of regulatory bodies. just saying
  9. @Wookie Thank you for the clarification. For me personally, that doesn't mean there's much to be said against a 1-year subscription, just to support Bandlab the way Bandlab did for me for 5 years.
  10. I can't confirm that; there are some users in the Sonar/Cakewalk subforum who have purchased the subscription license. The lack of backwards compatibility also gives me something to think about, but you should bounce everything before muxing a track so that you can then continue with CbB or other DAWs. I still hope that the subscription License will in 1 or 2 years change to a perpetual license Bandlab announced the subscription with the words: "this time" and it's 99 USD a year only.
  11. With this justification, nearly all products worldwide could be devalued. Bandlab itself doesn't cut any trees, right?
  12. I'm conflicted about this: -on the one hand, Bandlab provided me (us) with Cakewalk by Bandlab for free for around 5 years and updated it; -has Bandlab (not Gibson); deserved it in the sense that I give something back because I saved a lot of money during that time. -Sonar is simply my main DAW. -Bandlab doesn't just offer the DAW; on the other hand : -I don't like subscription models; I'm not interested in the Bandlab community; I'm not interested in their other services like distribution; and I don't like to put everything like marketing, DAW, and advertising in one hand. It's good that you ask me what I think about it so that I had to write my thoughts down. My decision: I will buy the Sonar subscription for one year, not knowing if the new Sonar is a big step forward in development.
  13. You're aiming so high for yourself, Kenny. There is no way in hell I could keep up with that.
  14. Teacher: "Kids, what does the chicken give you?" Student: "Meat!" Teacher: "Very good! Now what does the pig give you?" Student: "Bacon!" Teacher: "Great! And what does the fat cow give you?" Student: "Homework!"
  15. This isn't just a Halloween trick. It can be used to create unique and intriguing sounds.
  16. So, I downloaded the plugin. At first I couldn't find it straight away, the page is a bit confusing so here's the link to download it: https://github.com/DamRsn/NeuralNote/releases I then gave it a go on two wave audio files. On a vocal clip first, followed by an arpeggiated guitar lick. It actually performs better than Melodyne's audio to midi conversion, in my opinion. I find the rhythmic and melodic precision to be more accurate than Melodyne, even though a few tones were added that are easily removed. Yes, in both situations, the standalone version performed better than the DAW internal version. Whether it is the superior tool in some situations is still up in the air, in my opinion. Anyway, I appreciate you bringing this tool to my attention.
  17. It s a channnel of matt sweeney, he is well known as part of Iggy ypop 's collab with Qotsa and Matt Helders for the project "Post Pop depression * and others.
  18. Thank you very much for your feedback. I will download the plugin; it sounds very interesting.
  19. Can any of you say whether this works better than the Midi to Audio conversation with melodyne?
  20. I agree; I truly enjoy the new features, the updated user interface, and the fact that everything is free. Well done, XLN, and many thanks.
