Orange amp is a bit wonky, but the others are great, especially the Yellow and Red ones. The amount of controls and optionson the amp and overdrive sections are bigger than most amp sims. Same goes to reverb, delay and modulation sections. The cab is not IR based, apparently, except for the "ambience" parameter (I think). It sounds great and I don't find myself missing my IR's. They jammed everything into one page and they still managed to include more options/controls than most amp sims. Sound is great. I'm getting some very satisfying crunch/mid-gain tones from this.

Same with Sonivox (same parent company). I tried downloading Big Bang Universal drums yesterday from PB and got that message. Went to the Sonivox and downloaded the demo and authorized that one with no issues. But tham, that vst sounds like ***** lol. Just bought GGD Modern and Massive with money that I shouldn't have spent

Price is crazy, but I like that there are new amps being coded. No one complains that there are too many Marshall emulations. There are WAY too few bass amp sims. I did an exhaustive comparison between most of the ones available and, although there are some great sounding ones, the ONLY one that actually felt like playing a real amp was the Softube Eden emulation. The sound quality is way better than anything else I tried. There's just way more options for guitar. Edit: If you want some great bass tones, use Airwindows BassDrive in front of the amp sim. INSANE tones.

Yes, REAPER is powerful but I just can’t gel with the interface (beyond skins). I’m always customizing it instead of making music. It has a massive windows focusing problem and the input quantize function is broken in many ways. The piano roll never focuses on the notes that are there and it doesn’t remember the zooming when you re-open it. I also REALLY hate the fact that the developer feels the need to shove his political opinions down the users throats. Cakewalk, with its relative deficiencies, is much better for me in terms of usability. Studio One is nice but couldn’t gel with the UI. IMHO, YMMV, yada yada...

Drumatic 3 is a drum synth, and the best free one there is. Hard to find alternatives. And if he’s having problems the correct attitude should be to try to find the cause in case it is Cakewalk’s problem so it can be solved.

My brother had the same problem on his new and very powerful machine.
