I think it’s absolutely worth it, as Soundiron got the smaller version and 8Dio the large one, when Tonehammer split up.
But as King L wrote, this one’s full Kontakt only.
Just trying to convince myself not to spend more on Soniccouture, but Geosonics II does have 8,7GB of sounds compared to the original’s 6GB. There goes $38. And that Seasons sound pack by Veenstra does look gewd. There goes another $16. Stop!
Actually, the original has most of what’s in Geosonics 2, and I don’t like the matter’s GUI as much, but I’m mostly miffed by the number of extensions they’ve been putting up for sale.
I love their basses and guitars, especially the acoustic ones as I’m more into singer-songwriter territory, but I’m also patiently waiting for the Kontakt Player upgrade of their wonderful Rosewood Grand. Meanwhile, as for keys, that Famous E Rhodes is simply marvelous to play.
Craig N has a good point about the noise contents. Different kinds of noise can be treated with delay and phaser. Still, mostly sweeper oriented so not my cup of organic tea.
Was looking at that one too, but went for FabFilter Twin 3 and RevealSound Spire. Together with Arturia Pigments and their V Collection those awesome Dawesome synths from Tracktion I’m all set, notwithstanding U-he, of course.
