  1. I’m thinking of keeping those $50 and $25 coupons in check. You never know if there’s a special effect I may like, for instance that EMT 140 or 250 reverb. Also thinking of getting the next generation of Volt interfaces, and they may come with free plugins.
  2. I only got the Creative Bundle (for $99) and I’m happy at that $10/each level. But I’m hesitant to get the Mix Edition or Diamond, as they will undoubtedly grow larger with (many) more native titles. As for the Ultimate, that’s another story. If you buy it (after registering some hardware) you’ll get it all, including future native releases. Then again, UAD is on a roll, and who knows where they’ll land. I do consider a possibility that UAD 12 will go very low, but when… On the other hand, many plugins aren’t native yet and those are the ones I’m interested in, so I might wait. So for now, I’m thinking I’m fine with the instruments (while only missing the new Rhodes) and a few special FX like the ones on the Creative bundle. As for mixing and mastering plugs, I’ll stay on the fence. Hope this rambling helps somewhat.
  3. That’s a no-no, coming from the horse’s mouth. Never goes lower than $799. Until it does, of course.
  4. Yep, she insisted I use an iZotope code. And it worked!
  5. Last December. With a 50% off coupon on top of the sale at NI.
  6. There’s a 500MB download involved
  7. Wow, been waiting a long time for this one. Acoustic Samples have some of the best virtual instruments, like their Wurlie, pretty unique.
  8. I believe they’ve been bought by Image Line (together with UVI, Melda, United Plugins and Producer Loops).
  9. That happened to me after buying the Creative Edition without using the code. I then asked them to send me a personal $50 off code, which they did.
  10. Never join a forum that would have you as a member!
  11. Yeah, would have preferred he stuck with Kontakt.
  12. I thoroughly dislike terms and conditions.
  13. Each time I see an Avenger sale I think of Spire and all is quiet on the Western front.
  14. I got the NI bundle (Zebra2, Dark Zebra, Diva, Repro, Hive2, Presswerk, Satin, Twangstrom, Colour Copy) back then for $199. Not that bad.
  15. Wow. DiscoverStation/CoreStation even works with the full BBCSO. You need Unify as well, though. But the free Discover version of BBCSO will then suffice.
  16. Loved playing a Bodhrán back in the day, when I was at Queen’s in Northern Ireland. Good dev too, already got their flute and harp.
  17. Here’s hoping they finally come up with a B3.
  18. Well, it does include its own sounds too, and I’m particularly interested in that Steingræber grand. Not many sampled version of that one.
