I was enamored by the mere fact that I could get the BBC orchestra in a box. Got the full one, allowing for so many different uses due to the multitude of mic positions. With regard to Albion One, which I got early on and love for orchestral sketching, I’ve always preferred Albion Tundra and Albion Neo, as I dig their focus on minimalism.
I’m definitely into the world of UVI (now part of FL).
Falcon, of course, and the expansions, but also their Augmented Orchestra, Synth Anthology, Keys Suite (especially Digital), and the SparkVerb, Plate and Shade FX.
TBH I’m still amazed by the sheer possibilities of plugins. The fact that they almost perfectly mimic hardware is breathtaking. Always thought that hardware was, well, sacrosanct. Then came the plugins flood, Rather late for me, as I only saw the light in 2014. Next, I was lured in by the looks but stayed for the quality.

I like Ujam for its piano and guitar plugins. Already have and love the original Silk so this one definitely lures me. I’d also like to get a bundle of their pianos.
I meant that to me Shade is a sublime EQ because of its creative filters. Another sublime and unique EQ is Gullfoss. But the most sublime still is FabFilter’s Pro-Q3.
