I gave up on lusting after the Avenger, what with the activation woes. May wait and see what 2.0 brings. Still interested in Rapid, though. And there’s Phase Plant, of course, ready for anything you throw at it. Here’s an interesting livestream from Venus Theory on Pigments, but he also shares his thoughts on Phase Plant and Falcon:

Sweet presets! Well I quite like the new Prophet from Arturia, but it doesn’t seem to have the power of u-he’s Repro-1. But u-he can’t beat my Sequential for depth.

Thanks, Zo! I’ve still got to see how Repro plays out. Thinking I’ll love Repro-1 the most, as it’s pretty different from Arturia’s new Prophet version and my sweet Sequential Take 5.

Don’t sleep on Pigments, Zo, it’s really worth it. Then again, been pretty flabbergasted these last weeks by the sheer power of Spire, Diva, Zebra, and of course Falcon.

IMO if you’re looking for the best (most balanced) composer forum, that’ll be The Soundboard (https://thesoundboard.net/). Sure, VI Control has many more threads and posts, but you may get lost between Cinesamples lovers and Spitfire haters or vice versa (pretty much like the IK Multimedia and Plugin Alliance spam you refer too). And you’ll find many naysayers without any experience there as well. OTOH, some very decent posters too. I tend to follow three or four forums, as they all have their particular merit and allure. Meanwhile, not bookmarking much anymore. And definitely not visiting KVR or Gearslutz the way I used to. But our Cakies forum has this je-ne-sais-quoi that I’m not feeling anywhere else.
