  1. I see that the orange ad popup no longer appears on my startup of CbB. Thank you to whoever fixed it.
  2. The comments here are feedback , except from a certain troll who wants to argue. The developers should be getting the message that the CbB users don't want to see ads like a cheesy android app which started in this version. Also, there is a major concern about forcing users to pay for subscription to use CbB. These are creating unhappy users. Finally, I also think that CbB is pretty good and doesn't need continual "updating" and unneeded new features. (That should be saved for the paid versions.)
  3. I'm hearing the blaring messages. No wait... that's the voices in my head telling me telling me to start evaluating alternate DAW systems, in case of forced subscription blackmail on my thousands of hours of work put into my projects. A subscription to CbB? ☚ī¸
  4. Thanks Xoo. That makes perfect sense. I set that up and saved to a new user workspace. 👍 I appreciate your help.
  5. I have things set up fine and they work day to day as expected. I've been using Cakewalk products for decades and I am quite familiar and up to date with the usage. The shuffling of the UI happens only after an update and I have to rearrange things to get them back. If you can tell me in the manual where I can lock a parameter to prevent this from happening, I will gladly re-read it. I don't shuffle or group views, I keep things as absolutely simple as possible. Again, I was just providing feedback and if I experience it again, I can supply more info. I think maybe not applying updates might do the trick. 😉
  6. Please chill IgoRr. I was only providing my constructive feedback and user experience.
  7. I've fixed the UI layouts so I don't have a screenshot to share. If I'm still able to use the software if the next update happens, I will share it. It's just a minor annoyance that I've accepted to deal with after updates. It appears that "ProChannel" somehow gets enabled/expanded down in the console area for all of the tracks and dumps the colorful knobs everywhere. I have to close ProChannel on every track and hide/delete the extra empty tracks and sub-channels that show up too. It also overwrites the arranger section on the left panel. The "video view" disappeared. I clicked on it in the options and tried a wacky alt-shift sequence to enable it and it didn't do anything. I stopped and restarted a few times and randomly clicked on things and it went back to normal. Maybe the tray at the bottom is having an issue after the last 2 updates.
  8. The console controls and other panes are misplaced after each update and it looks like a jumbled mess. After an update everything should look the same except if there are major UI changes. I'm not angry about that, it's minor but just a pain and waste of time to set everything back. I'm just providing my feedback.
  9. The layout of my screen gets rearranged after the last few updates and I have to waste a lot of time putting things back. This time the video view was missing too. After searching around I was able to get it back. There also is now an abundance of knobs, that I have no use for, everywhere. Some of my projects ended up with 32 empty tracks that I didn't have there before the update. I had to waste time hiding them because they could not be deleted. The CbB update. It takes some work to get it to work again. I've already fixed it this time. Besides, if you are pulling the plug on CbB, why bother?
  10. Version 2024.07 seemed to have broken a few things. I ended up having to update to 2024.11 and it seems to have fixed them. Mostly with things missing. I spent too many hours looking for things because the interface scrambled. I have been a Cakewalk/Sonar/GT (in various forms) user for many many years. There have been some good versions and not so good versions. Lately it seems to me like it's going downhill fast. Too many unnecessary "enhancements" have made the screen a jumbled mess that needs to be rearranged after every update. ASIO always breaks too. Having to run CbB in administrator mode? Really? That's not good coding practice. And now I see ads for subscriptions. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours of work put into numerous projects and now have to look at migrating to another DAW. I don't trust a company that uses subscription extortion. You should just leave CbB ACTIVE and stop updating. Then offer more features on the "pay-for" products. When is the stop date for CbB?
  11. It probably picks up radio stations from around the world..... ?
  12. "A License to Criticize," I love the title. Catchy tune. Oh yeah, it's definitey overcompressed , but that's not uncommon. No big deal. The doo doo da's should go.
  13. A bit different and interesting. Nice tones and effects, not overdone. Good job. ?
  14. Could be worse, could have been Worchestershire sauce....... ?
