This is the dislike I have about Synthmaster. I wish the preset installation was like other synths. Logging into your account is also annoying. For some reason Roboform can't fill this and I have to paste the serial number. How about using a password instead.

Performances have always been the money maker. There's a lot of hype over DAW packages about music distribution ect. It's kind of overrated. My brother use to be a DJ and never used a DAW or played an instrument. He use to make $800 doing a reception or graduation. His job was taking requests. Live performances are always valued. That's how many famous artists got discovered. Oasis never appealed to me. I guess I don't get the hype. After covid I value live performances even by amateurs. I never understood the Ticketmaster service fee which was pricey either. I couldn't image the price if the Beatles decided to do a tour when they were all alive. Maybe $10K a ticket?

Steinberg is slowly taking over my system after the news of Finale. In some ways Steinberg has gotten better. They have a 3 machine limit and you can deauthorize if too many system changes. No need to move a dongle around. It is getting harder to keep DAWs and software offline these days. I'm don't really loath them anymore. There's always another developer to take their place.

Not sure what NI is trying to do with their eco system as the previous version of Asshat worked. Product Poor2'All became that when the 3 headed monster was formed. I'm getting tied of developers with these distribution apps. Them some of them make it a treasure hunt for direct download. It is a necessary evil when you have a large catalog. Small companies seem to have an advantage of less overhead by having less products. A lot f older stuff still works on a Windows OS. Not every company can be like Sectrasonics.

Make a new version and and call it a fix but no free upgrade. Enshittification.

Never had that issue. I've never heard gamers even discuss it. The belief is you can outspend on Pc components never needing an audio interface.

Image Line does the same thing on their forum. Then again most of the users are into creating music instead of buying stuff. I was actually introduced to FL when a small version came with my Home Studio 2000 cd. Back then I hated the step sequencer concept. After FL's popularity increased more DAWs added a step sequencer.

Transitioning between scoring apps is far more annoying than switching DAWs. Everything you do in Finale is a habit and then the others don't work the same way,

Now that notation is in Studio One they never bother with Notion. I guess the market for scoring apps isn't as big as it use to be if that's the only thing you develop, Two of the most popular DAWs don't have notation.

There is this trend among younger users who think this is a myth or people who spend a lot of money on PC components and that onboard sound is sufficient. I never understood who that came about. I use onboard for system sounds and interface for DAWs.

That's the way I look at it. I can't start growing collection of spare drives due to buying larger ones. I bought external ones for EW and Musio. Nice to see the Orchestra is for Kontakt. Their last sale I bought something and today I forgot the name of it. The only one's I'm interested are the Albions.

The verb and a synth were given to Producer. I have the Plugin Ed. that came with VSTs. They are only vst2 and some won't work in other DAWs. They do have plans to update those but they are too busy improving FL. I have no issue wanting to use them in another DAW. You can't do that with Live so with FL and Reason you use the plugin version. If one is unsure they go to their forum and ask about whether you have to pay for something new in FL.

If you own everything you get new stuff. The exception is the sounds for Flexx which are 3rd party. I have yet to pay for their new FL Studio plugins.
