kitekrazy1 replied to audioschmaudio's topic in Deals
I have so any of these and yet I never use them. You'd be surprised some of these exists in DAWs. -

MIDI Klowd Everything Bundle only €30 (first 30 only)
kitekrazy1 replied to Igor Wagner's topic in Deals
I always avoid "get in line fast" to get this deal. Poor marketing in an over-saturated market. -
Try..............KVR.................always happens in Bargain Center gossip. I somehow left it out. It's a trademark there.

People like to bash IK to the point they even create reasons. All you have to do is look at KVR. Those jam points are quite valuable. I've used them on IK hardware. I was able to get their small monitors, Axe, Tone X One at a nice price directly from them. Some forums have become nasty or more regulated to drive reps like Peter away. He was so valuable to any forum. I always seem to have the Max bundle and rarely use any of it. TRacks and Modo are highly underrated. So I guess I'm a fanboy much like an NFL fan who only watches the team and not the rest of the league. Usually the better display of loyalty are often DAW upgrades. Two have went the other direction. NI hasn't punished people yet for skipping a Komplete. I'm sure that's on the stuffed shirts table to ruin. Izotope has become confusing to where I ignore most of the time. I never understood why people get upset over deals where a possible new user gets as a loyal user. Usually this happens with sample libraries. They why people dislike 8dio. Never mind that that there are more developers and quality ones.

No such thing as a lean upgrade with IK. Max 5 would still cost a lot even if you recently bought 4.

Maybe you can see the benefit of buying vocal loops opposed to those tied to a rompler. I never buy voice libraries tied to a rompler unless it is a choir.
-
Kontakt player = less freedom. You are tied into Native Access. That's a discomfort for more than one machine. Wait till the summer to get that Konatkt discount. Soundpaint libraries don't really go on sale but as much but you also get crossgrade pricing. The major problem with Soundpaint is the file size.

Not to mention their intrusive can't disable but only delete app.

I learned that working in the opticsl business when a person asked me about the "density" of lenses. I said do you mean refractive index? He said forget it. Marketing often tracks people with buzzwords.

It's a big divide from those who make a living. They have to follow bad ideas from clients who picked up a magazine.

Aren't we all? I still download free plugins. It's still enlarging our acquisitions.

EDITED: not a deal; topic wrong because of wrong info from company
kitekrazy1 replied to Amberwolf's topic in Deals
I've bought plenty of their loops and never on Spotify. It took them this long to figure that out. -
It's also hypocrisy downloading every free plugin out there.

Licensing is ,#1 on this list. If I can't put it on 3 machines...forget it.

I have everything IK and Medla. I should use those. Oh wait maybe I should use a DAW as well. My new hoarding is tutorials. BTW I have an Axe I/O and I have yet to plug an instrument into it. SHAME! Maybe with VIs one should limit to 4tb of space. Stop buying bloated libraries. I no longer buy Kontakt synths since Spire and Serum can pretty much do that stuff along with Reason REs, The only instrument I touched today was my tuba. No DAW or amp required.

Found this https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/sonic-foundry-acid I remember when Sony, Cakewak, Magix, Voyetra where kings of the boxed software in stores. I remember buying those in boxes at Best Buy. Cakewalk Music Creator was my first by them. Then there were generous offers for Home Studio and moving up to Sonar. (it isn't like that now)

at first I thought you were talking about bitrate

Not sure how cables are somehow an issue these days. There's a greater chance of ruining a board installing an nvme. It has happened before. Plus you have to research which ones will work on boards 10 years old. Not so with SATA. I prefer SATA only for more ports. I like less eggs in a basket. Having an 8gb nvme go bad seems pricey than losing a f 2GB SATAs. The reality is how often do we open a system case any way.

too much of a rocket science for me. That's why I still use SATA.
