I remember when a 500gb drive was the max and I had a Seagate the lasted over a decade. I still have some WD Blue 320gb drives I use for archiving. I usually use at least 5 SATA ports on each machine. I'm thinking of getting a 4tb HDD and going with 3 1TB SSD drives for libraries.

I don't like forfeiting the SATA ports to use them.

Pass. I got Medla's Soundfactory. No WUP, lifetime updates, install it on many machines as you want. No need for a DIY wannabee dongle.

A 2tb with a 2yr warranty valid until Dec. went bad. It was under $60. I still can't afford a SSD that size. I paid $12 for an exchange. I'm not sure I can get any data off it. It doesn't bother me since my 2 other systems have similar data. I woke up this morning with a strange sound that doesn't sound like your everyday drive failure. There were no previous signs of it going bad (just like every drive these days) SMART is useless. At some point I'd like to cut down on disk size and replace them with 1TB drives. 1st Seagate I've had to RMA.

Quite the truth. If I had to chose between a sub and death, I'd go with PA. They also add plugins to their sub. BTW I used my generic voucher. Can I use it again and I do the survey ones work? I may go for if if I can get a $25 code.

i'm saying no since I found out Shake Shimmer Strike was still on sale. I have so many plugins I haven't even opened up only doe authorization. I'm not a fan of subs but PA's may be the best one around. Many of us buy a plugin a month from them and that isn't much different.

Also refurbished. Trust factor is always low for me.

There are no bargains on WUP until Waves says so. Hopefully they will get with it like other developers that allow extra machines without going through a small hassle. Thy still have the Diamond upgrade offer. I've moved away from Waves since I have 3 systems. They rarely come out with a dud. They are still one of the best developers around,

The reality is taking over someone's coding is far easier said than done. With all of these other apps these days these are probably not replacements. Both require demonized Java. Java on a system is as annoying as popup ads. I have Liquid Rhythm and don't use it.

A question we all need to answer. I'm moving away from Kontakt based synths. How many of these sounds can be duplicated using VSTs using less disk space. Karany stuff is nice.

The drawback is some of those presets may need the effects you have to buy to get them to fully work.

13GB. I'm sure there are people on another forum giving it praise. I'm thinking of donning a fire suit and expose the bloat. Vocal romplers pretty much get less use.
