  1. Wow! Great advice one and all! Thanks so much! Lots of experimenting to try. Much appreciated!
  2. I was hoping to use some virtual audio cable to route the sound (Master Bus output) of SONAR into another DAW that has some effects/thingies I want to use (a pseudo-mastering setup) in real-time monitoring. I do not want to 'bounce down' or export the audio of Sonar and then import it into the other DAW, I want it all to happen in real-time. Is that possible with some virtual audio cable setup? Please & Thanks! Martin
  3. 1. Okay, you click 'close project' and the whole thing shuts down. Alternative to clicking the open window 'x' to the project also results in same. 2. Doesn't recall last project every single time. Very inconsistent drop down menu on that front. 3. Loads very very fast, but, when running OZONE 11 in High CPU mode, even with latency slider to right, the playback stops while Ozone 11 analyses the track with nothing playing through (or so it appears). Otherwise, fascinatingly good product!
  4. Hi there. Thanks for the kind words regarding my song. I love the 80's vibe of this. I see what you mean regards the troubles - it sounds like the drums were done in a whole nudder place and time. The rest of the mix sits where it's supposed to and is actually great. Love the song though. Ever thought to drop the tracks into 'the box' and then redrum it after sync-locking the time (if it can be done?) Fun tune though. Great 3+ minutes of song! Hope you work out the issues. I'd like to hear this wrapped in bow, ya know? 🙂 Later, M
  5. Hi guys. Released a version of this song years ago, but this is the newly remixed and remastered version of the song (2024) from the new Album, ONLY THING I NEED. Hope it encourages someone today.
  6. Hi there! Thanks so much for the kind words, Bjorn! Not understanding the title of the album? Or the 37 years bit? Let me know - happy to explain if you're interested! Later, M
  7. Thanks Jack! Now (don't!) hit the road! (it's too hot, the road right now ... sheesh!)
  8. Hi guy! Wow, what a great review! Wasn't expecting to find that here, so thank you much! Very encouraging, indeed! Yeah, for me, 'crossover' isn't of interest because if it ain't Jesus, it ain't worthy of me. I used to do crossover stuff 'n all that, but as I've grown older (58) I've come to understand, quite personally, that Jesus is worthy of my putting Him out there front and centre. There's no one like Him and that's worth celebrating and orbiting around for me. I trust you'll understand. ? Thank you so much once again! I'll be sharing more here in time, so I am looking forward to your thoughts again! Best you and yours this (hot!) summer! M
  9. Thanks so much! Yeah, ears are funny things ... one man's 'muffled' is another man's/woman's 'rich & full'. Weird huh? Glad you liked it though. M
  10. https://on.soundcloud.com/87T3UuDE8XkLp2HW6 Hey all. This is track one from my new release. Very excited ... it's only been, what ... 37 years between releases, so yeah - I'm excited! ? It's available wherever fine digital music is purveyed. Enjoy!
  11. Is there a intermediary type interface that would allow Cakewalk Bandlab users to more readily see and access all the presets for Plugin Alliance/Brainworx presets? Life's getting shorter and this is a bit of a slog! Lol! Please & Thanks! ? Martin
  12. First off, I had a migraine when I put this together, so my terminology and nomenclature is a little lacking - apologies. PHASE ROTATION is the big miss re terminology - again, sorry. I present this tutorial as a replacement for the one I can no longer find on YouTube. I've yet to find a technique that rivals this and doesn't mess with the stereo-to-mono imaging (as in volume drops or phasey sounding audio). SCRUB to 00:02:30 to get to the lesson. Feel free to critique or criticize this all you want if you're feeling particularly nasty and/or technically arrogant - I have thick skin - but all I can tell y'all is that this works. I have no idea how. "I'm a doctor, not a magician, Jim!" I use VERY LITTLE to accomplish the job of stereofying a mono track. LESS IS MORE! Love to hear if anyone's tried this or will try it and what they think?

    Snow Angels

Really enjoyed this! Good mix ... mysterious and intriguing, yet very melodic.
  14. This is a WEIRD one! Hi folks! For NO APPARENT REASON, the shortcut to Cakewalk (or any Cakewalk product, like my old SONAR Platinum) on my system doesn't call up the program anymore! But this is ONLY happening to the shortcuts that are located on the desktop?! I can call up the program ANY OTHER way, just not from the shortcut icon on the desktop. When I navigate via Explorer to the Desktop shortcut, no problem. When I create a shortcut on the C-Drive's Desktop Folder (located in C/USER/NAME/DESKTOP it will launch from that folder, just not my E-Drive's Desktop, where my real active shortcuts are all based, as I MOVED the Desktop to the other (E) Drive. I had a similar problem a while back with my DESKTOP not being accessible through Quick Access and did a relocate of my Desktop from one drive to another. That worked, but I barely remember the details of that operation. If anyone has suggestions based on their experience, that would be great! Thanks! M
  15. Very good mix and tones being presented here. Nice piece of work. Keep it up sir! ? (I'd kill for your bass effects chain. Great tone!)
  16. Woah! Great song to cover and a great cover of the song! Pretty solid mix - I hear everything! Busy and interesting but in a great way! Super voice to do the piece too! Not much I could suggest to change at all! A mix (especially mine) could always be better, but I've spent years not getting one project finished due to lack of objectivity. That's my problem. I'd not touch this unless it's going to a pro studio/producer for eval. Just splendid! Congrats!

    Bad Dog

This is some pro-level stuff! Very Bob James! Nice mix and good work. Nothing over-compressed or unnatural. Well done! ?
  18. Nice work. The acoustics are a super tone, but ultimately, a tad brighter maybe? If you're going for that 'quick decay' bass from 70's rock, then you got it nailed. Voice is up front, which is stellar! ? And a great voice at that. Kick and bass buried, but maybe that's the style you're going for, so it's cool.
  19. Great song! Bit of a flat mix but some great sonic concepts. More stereo ambience if you go to remix. But such a great tune! Really love it. ?
  20. Man, this brings back memories. One of the last songs I ever sang for my mom. A classic of classics. Great job and wonderful to hear. Lovely, well-mixed voice 'n band/instruments. Thanks so much! :-)?
  21. Not so much legal advice, but opinion. If I wanted legal 'advice' I'd seek out a lawyer. Am not stupid, dude! ?
  22. Brother of well-known Christian artist (deceased) freaked out when provided with mp3 'test sample' as it was a little too accurate/spot on! He decided against use of his deceased brother's AI voice. Oh well. ?
