  1. scook, also thanks for the drum map for the 808 kit bundled with Sitala! I also would like to ask a question about drum maps, because I've been trying to work with it to program rhythmic sections on Piano Roll. But also I've trying to add 3 more instances of SI Drum Kit to have 4 drum tracks (like cymbals, snare, toms and kick), so I could give each one different audio treatment. But when I set each MIDI out to a drum map instrument sounds will stop (so I'll need to set MIDI out back to one of SI Drum instances). I'd like to know if it is possible to work like this or maybe there are easier ways to do it? Thanks!
  2. Hi, scook ! Thanks for the response! I tried to reinstall Sitala and it seems it was originally saved on Steinberg folder - I guess I installed the app but didn't pay attention to that! Now it's working as VST. Thanks!
  3. Hi, talking about Sitala I'd like to ask how could I use it with CbB? I've installed it a few months ago but it would just run as standalone app. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi @winkpain , I guess these are two articles I read at the time: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Knowledge-Base/2007013042/The-Complete-Guide-to-Using-Rewire-Part-1 https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/wire Best regards
  5. Hi, I'd like to update OP because I found out selecting notes accurately with Set From = Now and Set Thru = Now will let notes to be moved or deleted in some cases they won't move at all (when lasso selecting them with Select Tool). Also selecting accurately the beat marks on Time Ruler will do the trick.
  6. Hi, I'd like to comment I recently added 4 GB RAM to my notebook and also disabled paging file. In general it is faster but also CbB startup is faster either. I had this issue where CbB first start took more than 1 minute long, but now it's faster too! : )
  7. Hi, I've bought Sonar Professional too, and I still have many sample content, like Loopmaster and Sample Magic. Maybe it would depend of when these samples came in, like June 2015?
  8. Hi, on Staff View there is an issue that sometimes notes selected with Select Tool won't delete or move. Sometimes dragging them up or down or bouncing down the clip will do the trick, but sometimes don't. Has anyone seen this before? Other thing I'd like to ask is why sometimes selecting region with Smart Tool on SV won't help if I try to delete notes, but if I do it with Select Tool it will work! Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi, I'd like to update my post as I read some articles by C Anderton about Cakewalk and ReWire technology and I saw I didn't insert Sibelius First correctly at the first time. I guess I tried to insert it as an Instrument Track and also didn't check Suspend audio engine when Cakewalk is not in focus . So I tried again observing the articles' recommendations, and everything is back to normality! ?
  10. Hi, I'd like to ask some help related to Sibelius First and CbB. I was trying to see how ReWire works and inserted SF in one track. I was tweaking a bit and on a moment I couldn't close CbB because of an error message related to the ReWire SF track. So I forced the shutdown and didn't try that again. However when I open Sibelius First there's an error message related to audio device but I couldn't fix it. Also when I try to playback a project it won't play anymore. Does someone has seen this before? Thanks in advance!
  11. @jsg thanks for the reply, but Note draw duration buttons is a new feature from CbB. Here is the updated link from scook's post : http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=NewFeatures.64.html
  12. Hi, I'd like to comment about another issue on Staff View. It happens that Note draw duration buttons won't change if one clicks on a note on the Staff Pane with last touched note enabled. The expected result would be like in Piano Roll View, where note draw duration buttons will change if one clicks notes on Notes Pane, with last touched note enabled. Best regards,
  13. Hi, I'd like to comment Ctrl + Right Click will also copy and paste notes if one tries to move them, but Shift + Right click will do the trick (just move). Also there is one issue about exporting sheet music to XML, that is Musescore won't read tied notes correctly. But there's a workaround that one could import XML file on Finale NotePad and export to XML again (but also FNP won't read tempo value when importing it). But maybe this issue could be a bug from these softwares! Best regards,
  14. Hi, I'd like to say I've had a similar problem to OP! It happens when I record midi notes with midi controller or Virtual Controller, then snap won't work on PRV. If i want to work with regular notes I'll have to quantize midi content. I thought this was a known issue but after reading this thread it seems it could be a bug! Best regards, EDIT: It seems the issue only occurs on some projects for me either!
  15. Hi, chuckebaby! Yes, I also do this procedure of creating a meter/key change to return to previous meter/key. Thanks for the feedback! In relation to OP, by coincidence, I was using different time signatures on the same tune while transposing amateur songs to music staff, but my boss said some clients didn't like that, so I'm trying to make simpler scores! Best regards
  16. Hi, chuckebaby! Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try! The only thing is I don't want to change melody, for example, but only key/meter settings. I wonder how is that possible, as I belive Ripple editing will do the trick by moving clips. Actually I only do basic operations with RE, but I'm going to read user's guide a bit more! Best regards
  17. Hi, I'd like to update this thread by adding some information related to Copy and Paste Special on Meter and Key Signatures. It happens that on some intricate tunes Paste Special will delete the next meter/key change. This happens with apparently no logic as some paste special will work fine, but most part will delete the next meter/key change. Example: Measure 2 - Ab - 2/4 <-- Measure 3 - Ab - 3/4 Measure 5 - Ab - 2/4 Expected result Measure 2 - Ab - 4/4 Measure 3 - Ab - 3/4 Measure 5 - Ab - 2/4 Actual result Measure 2 - Ab - 4/4 Measure 5 - Ab - 2/4 Maybe this is a known issue or maybe I'm missing something? Any help will be much appreciated! Best regards
  18. Hi, I don't know if an update on MusicXML export would help, but if I need to finish sheet music on Musescore it won't reproduce correctly tied notes, so I'll have to import file on Finale NotePad first, export to MusicXML and open it on Musescore. It's not a big thing but if that could be fixed it would be great! : ) Best regards
  19. Hi Mario Branchi! Some forum users found out a workaround to this issue, holding Shift key while right clicking on Staff View! Best regards
  20. Hi, msmcleod! Thanks for the tip! I'll give this a try! But it happens that meter and key signatures are part of the same change point, and there are tunes (from amateur singers specially) with many meter changes, but on the same key signature (if it was possible to only paste special key signatures it would be cool!) But I guess this tip will help on the job! Thanks!
  21. Hi, I don't know if this have been discussed already but I'd like to ask for an update on Settings of Meter and Key Signatures, specially for changing multiple key signatures at one time! I've been transcribing music to score and the first thing I do is set tempo and meter, so melody will match audio music. But if I've forgotten to set the key signature I'll have to do it one by one in some cases! At least an alternative to toggle from one Meter/Key change to another without closing the dialog box that would be great! Best regards
  22. Hi, these are nice plugins! Also there's a cool effect from this pack which is Studioverb2, but I can only open it with Music Creator 6 (32 bit). : / Best regards
  23. Hi, huviolan! I tried to reproduce this issue but I don't think I got the problem - because the tendency of playback is to move notes to the left, they will be out of sight! : ) Also I'd like to ask if you are talking about tablature, where the numbers are fixed on the lines, or fretboard, where numbers appear for a short time? Best regards,
  24. Hi, Toddskins Sorry I misunderstood your question! If you want to change parameters on Note properties dialog box the Shift key workaround won't work! What I meant to say is that if you press Shift and right click on an empty space on Staff View that will bring context menu with some options like Transpose, Length, Scale velocity, Quantize as well as MIDI FX menu. Sorry for my bad grammar! : / Also you could change note parameters of multiple notes using the Event Inspector module on Control Bar. I hope this help!
  25. Hi, I'd like to add one could follow the Time and pitch locator (*) as a workaround, as snap function doesn't seem to work well in Staff View. Also I think snap will actually work if you use it, as a note dropped on 12:01:700 will be set at 12:01:720, for example. (*) More about Time and pitch locator / Cursor position: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=Cakewalk&language=3&help=Views.28.html Also, in relation to the Erase tool, one could always press 'T' key to call floating Tool module. EDIT: Also, in relation to select multiple notes, on Toddskin's comment, one could use Select tool and hold Shift key while right clicking on selected notes (*) (this will do the trick)! (*) Actually one should right click on an empty space on Staff View while holding Shift key to do the trick!
