reginaldStjohn, thanks for the reply! I'll do some tests on this direction, thanks! I've set Windows, UM2 and Sonar to 44.1 KHz, but that didn't resolve the issue. Also, for some reason UM2 always go back to 48 KHz. (*) I'm using BEHRINGER USB AUDIO 2.8.40 Driver, because ASIO4All didn't work well. Also I can only open its control panel via Sonar Audio preferences.

Hi, I'd like to ask for help with an issue with my new computer, since I recorded a music from YouTube. I use an analog mixer with the computer, which helps me record sounds from internet, for example. My UM2 Behringer interface is configured to work at 48 KHz, but Sonar was working at 44.1 KHz and an issue ocurred. So I switched it to 48 KHz and recording was fine. But since then I have to open Windows > Sound Settings window to run Sonar, otherwise it will hang on Opening project / Creating UI toast message. I remember I had an issue with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11 HD, which worked at 48 KHz and Windows and Sonar was at 44.1 KHz. That always forced me to reconfigure sample rate at Windows Sound Settings each time I used SVMS. (*) However I'm not able to use it on my new PC and I'll start to use Magix Video Deluxe. Anyhow, if someone could help me it will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, also about this customization issue I've noticed music notation in Staff View is bigger than normal when I open an existing project (zoomed in exhibition). However I'll watch if that happens with new projects, as recommended by Ben Staton in this thread. Also I'd like to comment about an improvement I saw in Staff View (I guess it's from an early Sonar update). I remember that after selecting a different size to printed score one also had to click in the preview image to see changes. In Sonar it seems the issue was fixed, as just after the selection changes will show up. Thanks!

Hi, I saw there is a fix related to Console View Splitter width fails to persist on scaled displays, and would like to thank the bakers for this. However sometimes the issue still occurs, as the splitter goes far left again, over track pane. Also I believe CV customization, like setting all channel strips to narrow mode will be erased, showing all strips on wide mode, after opening an existing project. Thanks!

Hi, I don't know if this helps, but last week I had this issue, which I already had some years ago. When I clicked on Wav files for automatic preview on browser the sound would only last a few seconds. However other audio format like MP3 didn't have problems. However this week I started using a new computer which is a bit better than my notebook and I saw the issue doesn't occur. (*) notebook is Core i5 4200, DDR3 memory and SSD SATA, while new PC is i5 8500, DDR4 mem and SSD m2. Could this be related?

Hi, I'm also having this issue with buses moving to the left side on Console View. I noticed my Screensets are unlock and Workspaces are locked due the fact that I'm using Sonar Free Tier. However I noticed a bug that occurred with Time Ruler when I moved Sonar app to a extended monitor, which has a different resolution from my main monitor - one is 1366 x 768 with 100% scale and the other is 1920 x 1080 / 125%. So I did a few tests and could reproduce the issue - if I move Sonar app to 19" monitor, buses will move to the left on Console View (after saving and closing the project, and opening it again). But if I open the project on 21,45" monitor, buses will be on right side on Console View. I hope this helps!

Hi, David! Thanks for your reply! I did a few tests and couldn't reproduce the issue, but it seems sometimes buses move to left on Console View. I saw my screenset settings and it looks normal (I usually use screenset 01). Also my Workspace is locked at the moment, as I'm using Sonar Free Tier. I wonder if that could be related with the fact that I'm using 2 monitors with different resolutions (one is 19" and the other is 21.5")? Also one monitor is with scale and layout at 100% and the other at 125%, could this result in issues on Sonar? (*) I was thinking about it because I moved Sonar from one monitor to the other and I had an issue with Time Ruler. It was difficult to read the numbers and to insert or delete a time display format. However I could click on the right corner and time display format menu appeared and I could insert HMSF format. After that Time Ruler was good to go. Anyway I'll be watching if any of these issues happen again. Thanks!

Hi, that is also happening to me (the same issue)!

Hi, I've been using both 8va Treble and 8va Bass clefs for guitar and bass guitar, as both of them are transposing instruments (real note is one octave below written note). (*) Also both 8va clefs show the number 8 at its bottom, which I believe it means one octave below. Just my 2 cents!

Hi, I'd like to thank the bakers for this Sonar update, specially the Track View time ruler drag/scroll not visually updating fix. However it seems there's still an issue with Track View time ruler drag when doing zoom in and zoom out. In some projects it's subtle, but there's still a delay on graphics update. Thanks!

Hi, I'd like to thank BandLab and the bakers for this free version of Sonar! Also I'd like to report an issue when moving project content by clicking and dragging in the Time Ruler. I don't know if it's a known issue but there is a delay between Time Ruler numbers and audio / midi clips, when moving to right or left. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'd like to report there's an issue with Themes in the new update, but it only occurs in Brazilian Portuguese local language. It happens when one clicks in Edit / Preferences / Customization / Colors, and an error message will appear: "Attempted an unsupported operation". After that it's not possible to click on other Preferences option, because the same message will appear. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I think I have the same problem! I've been doing Skype sessions and my client can't hear audio from Windows. Despite both my condenser microphone and Windows sounds go through audio interface via an audio mixer, he only hears the mic! I also installed Voicemeeter Banana but didn't get how to make it work! Does someone has had this problem? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

Some chords on Staff View will be half step below
mgustavo replied to mgustavo's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi, 57Gregy, thanks for the reply! Now I understand why Ab appeared sometimes in the list! 😅 -
Hi, I'd like to say I've been using Chords in Staff View and I noticed an odd behavior, maybe it could be related to latest updates? It happens in Chord Properties dialog box when one writes a chord name in Name field, like A, B or G, for ex., and hit down arrow key to show different shapes. However, if one opens the drop-down list the chords will be half step below, i.e., A -> Ab, B -> Bb, G -> Gb, etc. (but that won't occur with C or F). Also chords with 7th or tension notes will be normal (the issue only apply to triads). Has anyone seen this issue before? Thanks in advance! (*) this also happens on new Sonar.

Amberwolf, thanks, but the clips are normal, with no lock icons on them! Bristol_Jonesey, thanks! That's what I meant (in CbB with brazilian portuguese language the command is 'export to clip', so I mixed up the words)! This brings clips to normal, but I can't understand why that happened - the buggy clips have beveled bottom corners (one or both). I also turned them into Groove Clips, which have 4 beveled corners, but that didn't work either. Maybe bouncing clips to themselves will be the best choice! Chaps, thanks, but all Midi tracks have Edit Filter set to Clips - some clips on the same track are normal, but most of them have this issue! Thanks for the replies!

Hi, I'm working on a small project and I noticed some midi clips won't let me crop edges, neither with Smart tool or Edit tool. However it seems this issue can be solved exporting clips, but I'd like to know if there's a feature that prevents clips from cropping, maybe I did something wrong? Thanks in advance!

Insert chords on Staff View - library empty group

Is there a way to recover a project file?

msmcleod, thanks for the input! That's a good workaround, I'll give give it a try! -
Is there a way to recover a project file?
mgustavo replied to mgustavo's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Bristol_Jonesey, yes, I thought it could be like when using system restore point in Windows! I don't know if it would work! Base 57, thanks, but I didn't enable this feature, maybe it could be a good practice! I normally save a backup file but this time I had just forgot! Thanks for the replies! -
Hi! I've been working on a project with a few instrument tracks, but I forgot "Ripple Edit All" button enabled, deleted a bounced mix and changed to other mix scene. It took me some time to relate those actions, because all midi content had disappeared, and I had already saved the file! In resume, as I lost my work, is there a way to recover this project file ? Thanks in advance!

Hi, John, thanks for the reply! The mixer is a Waldman (brazilian pro audio manufacturer), CPP series. It seems is a legacy model, but I believe is more modern than my Phonic AM series (both are entry level). I did a brief test recording in overdub on CbB and didn't notice latency, but when editing a song on Musescore I noticed latency on midi reproduction, so I'm connecting it on my MU2 interface, simply substituting the Phonic mixer. I tried to compare its specifications with a Xenyx model I saw on internet, and they look similar. Also it has a good sound, but I'll try to contact the manufacturer to get more information.

Hi Glenn, thanks for the response! I believe it's not class compliant, as I did a brief search on the internet, and didn't find this information. I remember trying WASAPI mode but it started playing with my notebook onboard audio. Also I read on the internet that UM2 preamp is XENYX, and better Behringer interfaces have MIDAS preamp. I was a bit worried about losing quality with mixer's USB communication with the computer, but maybe it's similar.

Hi, I've been using an audio mixer connected to a Behringer UM2 interface, so I can do simple recordings with CbB, as well as send computer sounds to the mixer via 2 Track Return (this helps me to record overdubs, as the 2 Track Return audio won't go to main output). However I bought a new audio mixer to increase the XLR channels, and I saw it's USB port works as an audio interface. The only problem is that it's not ASIO, and it only works with MME on CbB, which seems is not a low latency driver. However if I use my Behringer UM2, which has an ASIO driver, it will ocupy 1 stereo channel in the mixer, which is only 8 channels (4 XLRs and 2 stereo TRS). On the other side, new mixer's USB port works like this 2 Track Return system, and let me use it's 2 stereo tracks. So I'd like to ask if it would do much difference between the MME driver and this entry level interface with ASIO? Thanks in advance!

Not Liking the look of the New Sonar Interface
mgustavo replied to mark foster's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Hi, Bristol Jonesey thanks for the input! I updated Sonar and Concrete Limiter appeared this time. I don't know if it's related but it's cool to get this classic PC effect!
