  1. Yeah!!!!! I stumbled onto CB's YT channel early on in the pandemic. JMO: great musicianship and great sense of humour.
  2. I love his videos. Mondo respect. If this plug-in will give me 1/10,000,000ths of his abilities . . . . Does it have an algorithmic CB style arranger where I can just put in chords and switch articulations to sound like CB?
  3. I was one of those who thought, "Why don't you just point the midi track to the soft synth?" I am struggling to understand why that is not the first thing people think of.
  4. Good information here to help others who might come along with AIR Music product issues, but as for @LoopJunkie the original issue looks [SOLVED]. (Please add to topic if it is indeed solved.)
  5. In my experience Notepad works well for editing *.ins files.
  6. I thought this sounded familiar. Someone else was looking for it a couple of years ago!!!
  7. I suppose it makes sense to do it that way if want one and only one contiguous Cakewalk Window that spreads across two monitors as opposed to having all the views placed where you want on the two monitors.
  8. DAMN!!! ? I should have posted and then updated with the connection. Babes before Cubes! Maybe I can find a connection with Cubes? EDIT: The cubes and the babes are both sweet and so are the GTOs?
  9. Just in case the connection is not obvious: "Girls Together Outrageously"
  10. Just remembered where I heard of Robert Service. "Radio humorist and raconteur Jean Shepherd recorded a collection of Robert Service's poems, Jean Shepherd Reads the Poems of Robert Service." Used to listen to Jean Shepard's show as an impressionable teen! "War War War" sounds familiar, but I can't remember if I listened to it "back in the day." Good ol' Country Joe! Thanks for posting this!
  11. Interesting idea. For some of my Workspaces I float the Dock on a second monitor set up maxed size. Sometimes I will have just the Console, but sometimes I use the Dock's tabs so I can flip through pages on Monitor 2. I am trying to imagine what your proposed feature would do. UPDATE: Out of curiosity, have you (1) undocked the multi dock, (2) moved the floating window to your second monitor, and then (3) maximized it? Hmmm. Are you saying you also want the Inspector on Monitor 2, to the right of the multi dock but rather than positioning them manually, you want them to snap into place? I am sure I have some Workspaces where I placed multiple views onto my second monitor so I can recall that arrangement with the switch of a Workspace. Manually placing the views "just right" can take some effort, but sometimes I find the blue "snap to" feature annoying.
  12. Its a VST (not a VST3). My default installation has it in Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins. I don't use it but will checked to see if it works on my system. I assume you have that in your scan path and that you have not set your system to use only VST3s. It opens in Cakewalk, the loop list shows up, I can drag loops into the "Drop Track or Audio Files Here" Box, it does the analysis, and I can play the loop/file/sound. Hmmmm. I also have program files (x86)\air music technology and program files\air music technology in my scan paths. So maybe that's the default and I told the installer to use the Steinberg folder? Not sure. I use a tool called "Everything" and searching for transfuser*.dll found it in seconds.
  13. Aren't we supposed to have multiple licenses for the same products so we can keep extending the 30-year license? ?
  14. Not sure its related, but before I did the folder creation and moving thing (above), I inserted the empty tracks I used. When I manually moved (highlighted frame/dragged] the tracks, track names changed as follows: ==> ==> ==> Again, not sure of any impact of the automatic naming/renaming of tracks on the folder moving/ordering issue.
  15. There seems to be some retention of the order of creation in my test. STEPS I USED: Create 5 tracks one at a time. They each get a default name that shows the order the tracks were created in. Reorder the tracks. I did not resave the new project (not sure that would make a difference). Rename the tracks to show the new order (using ordinal numbers!). Select all 5 tracks in a random order. Right click on first one. Select Move to Folder > New Track Folder. The order of the tracks in the folder is based on the order the tracks were created. Second Test: Undo the order from above. Reorder and rename the tracks. to show the new order. Select all 5 in a random order. Insert New Track Folder. Right click on the first of the five selected track. Select Move to Folder > Folder 1. NOTE: There are a lot of variations. I tried 3 more each time using either undo [sequential Ctrl+Z] or bulk [Edit > History]. One variation used the Menu Bar to create the New Folder (instead of right clicking). Each time (so far) the order of the moved files got rearranged to the original order as created and named [Track 1 . . . Track 5].
  16. Automation lanes and take lanes were in SONAR long before I ever tried them. I think it was in 2018 or 2019 that I finally used the take lanes. I had a bass pattern and I was testing melodic leads on top. That's when I decided that the comments box was useful. I think I had 18-20 of melodic lines with a bass pattern that was maybe 16 or 32 measures long. So I listened to them and took notes for later.
  17. Expand the track. The Take Lanes button is at the bottom. I usually expand the track by dragging the bottom edge of the track down. Other use the expand/collapse button in the upper right corner of the track. Some people use keyboard shortcuts to expand the track.
  18. Yes its there, but without double clicking in the text area I don't think others can type in comments either. That's why I double click there. For all of the obvious, unnecessary stuff that's in there, the documentation doesn't tell people to double click (unless I missed it)!!! ? Maybe its different on different PCs? Maybe there's a way to bind "Open Take Lane Comments Box" to something else? [Nope; not that I saw]
  19. I select the take lane and double click on the text field. See this to expand the take lanes. This page shows item J. Comments in Figure 205. The "explanation" is the last item in the list of Track Lane controls.
  20. So far, I've only gotten one of the three that came bundled with SONAR a few years ago. Any ADPak recommendations from people who use them and found them helpful? Thanks.
  21. Just my opinion: Based on the Multis I got with Syntronik 2, I don't think people should avoid the SYN2GB waiting to see if Multis will be included. From the ones I have that don't crash Syntronik 2 Full, they are OK as idea starters but I am guessing people will probably want to make their own. And if IK can get user presets and Multis into the ToneNet sharing system, I think that would be a good thing. For people interested in the new Instruments, from all the ones I have heard in CS and all the new presets I heard in Syntronik 2 Full (Classic Instruments), while the Multis are handy and will likely save some time, I think the larger part of the value of Syntronik 2 comes from the new synth engine with the new Edit Panel controls (4-layers, access to massive wave sets, etc.). Maybe I should ask Peter: Would I be violating anything proprietary to IK if I shared the factory Syntronik 2 Multis I have to SYN2GB participants here? They reference Instruments and Presets that are not part of the full version (i.e., the new Instruments that come with MAX or its equivalent). Without editing them (which is easy enough to do, though it would be time consuming), they are not much use to me since since I only have the limited, CS versions of the new Instruments and Presets . No longer relevant; see Peter's reply below.

    MODO BASS 2

I assume that's an in-house e-mail. Any idea when the contents will be shared with customers? (PS: Sorry to hear your head got "sliced off.")
  23. Is this GAS-aholics semi-anonymous? ? Seriously, though, if it gets to one less than the full shebang** (buy 1 get 33) and the SYN2GB needs help getting over the top, I will pull together $35 cash + $15 jam points, $4 of which expire in June, if they use the FIFO method of accounting. Wait a sec. They are "Musicians First," not Accountants!!!! ? (So much for a brief foray into seriousness.) ? **Should I say "the MAX shebang" because Full doesn't have the 11 new instruments?
  24. BTW (re: multis). I made a test Syntronik 2 multi the other day. Today, to sort some things out with my spreadsheet, I set Syntronik 2 to use just my Sample Tank 3 Library Folder. As expected: Syntronik 2 displays and plays the Generation 1 ["v1" st3-based] presets; it does not display the Generation 2 ["v2" st4-based] presets. The st3m multis are displayed and work The st4m multis are not displayed. The test multi which included some Generation 2 presets was displayed but crashed Syntronik 2, evidently because it referenced either (1) a SYN2 instrument path or (2) a SYN2 presets. The crash is consistent with crashes I experienced with some of the multis that came with Syntronik 2 Full and which included references to Instruments and Presets I didn't have. My test multi (as an st4m) had been stored in my user's Documents folder [. . . \ Documents\IK Multimedia\Syntronik 2\Multis\Syntronik 2]. All of that is fact. Here's the conjecture: Perhaps the technical people also discovered that Multis which have erroneous Instrument or Preset paths can cause crashes, they are working on that, and Peter is waiting for the technical people to report back on it. Just a guess. It could also be that I am the only one who has been having crashes with the SYN2 Multis.
