I am not sure what the rules of different countries are but from what I have seen, in the US employees generally do not own the company they work for.

Anyone have experiences (good or bad) with the Riser, Structure, or Strike? I have downloaded the pdfs and based on those I might try the demos. I'd be especially interested to know if Structure and Strike can use our own samples. Thanks. None of the formats I use, but with all the red flags, maybe its a bless in disguise. I didn't see a section with red flags. But these almost seem like more trouble than they are worth.

https://cherryaudio.com/products/synth-stack-3 Be sure to check into your Cherry Audio account if you want to see your discount for ownership of other CA instruments included in the newest Synth Stack. Disclosure: It shouldn't take a rocket scientist (or a Ph.D.) to figure out that my 66% discount off the current introductory sale price / 75% discount off the "list" price means I like CA products. Addendum: It couldn't hurt to shop for steep discounts (plus the benefits of reseller rewards) on CA products at resellers and then look for the impact on the discount for Synth Stack 3.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful contemporary classical masterpiece and thanks for posting the score. I am not so much into detailed score analysis but following along today reminded me of the times I would bring a mini score to an orchestra concert. I tend to notice things more while at the same time appreciating the music (e.g., tracking "motivic" sections visually as well as hearing them as they jump around, etc.). Thank you for sharing your music!

If you mean the Studio Instruments Suite (SI-Bass Guitar, SI-Drum Kit, SI-Electric Piano, SI-String Section) Did you install them? Do they show up in the Instrument Plug-ins Browser? If so, use Insert Instrument to set up tracks for each. You can set the Input of each track to Virtual Controller, but I just tried "All External Inputs" and "All Inputs" and those worked for me, too. -
Interesting. My Win 10 Pro PCs are older (they were manufactured to include Win 7) and I am not sure what DX Libraries they support. So maybe the Win 10 installations detected something about my on-board chips and installed some of the older libraries? TTS-1 has worked consistently on my Audio PCs.

sustain pedal Sustain pedal not working (c64)

So far the only manual I have found that addresses the KB37 is this manual. It includes the following: GearBox 3.7 sounds like it might be configuration software. Hope this helps. PS: I have an E-Mu sound module/sequencer from the early 2000s that has several footswitch jacks. Their assigned function is configurable from the front panel (2 x 24 LCD) as well as through MIDI Sysex commands. Evidently, you need to go through GearBox 3.7. I have not found in the Line 6 manual information about switch settings (normally on / normally off). My box does auto detection. The "polarity" switch on the pedal confuses me because to me polarity implies voltage not the circuits state (normally open/normally closed). I think the pedal's switch is marked XC and XO. Its hard to see. Perhaps that refers to Closed and Open? If you had a volt-ohm meter you could test that. If the keyboard doesn't have auto detect and you can set it the jacks to function as a hold/sustain using GearBox 3.7, you should be able to test it using the switch. Personally, I'd try a VOM first just in case. Also, I'd use either MIDI-OX or CbB's event list to see if the keyboard converts the switch to midi data. Hope this helps. BTW, out of curiosity, does the pedal have a battery or an input for a power supply/wall-wart? -
In terms of 1974 dollars for an original Minimoog purchased in 1974, $5,000 in 2022 dollars is cheap by comparison. But in terms of software alternatives available in 2022, $5,000 in 2022 dollars could buy a nice audio PC to run the software!

Earlier today I did a quick test. In real time (i.e., not playback) the PRV keyboard showed keypresses from my usb/midi keyboard. Both virtual controllers (qwerty keyboard and piano keyboard) created activity flashes in a midi track which was linked to a soft synth as did the usb/midi keyboard. All 3 produced sound from the keypresses. However, only the usb midi keyboard triggered the notes in the PRV's keyboard (visual feedback the notes were triggered). Neither of the two virtual keyboards did. (Yes, I changed the octave range of the virtual piano controller to match my usb keyboard keypresses.) I don't use the PRV so I have no way of knowing if the PRV keyboard is supposed to visually represent notes triggered from the virtual controllers. Just wondering about that. -
My mom loved this concert. I inherited her copy of the VHS I think I gave her after she saw the concert on TV. We were all so much younger back then. Thanks for sharing the link.

I think it went up after October 31st. I also saw it was $5 a few hours ago. Maybe when they put it up as free through Oct 31st, they know about the current sale? -

Thanks for the reply and especially the marked up image. Due to an issue I have with grey on grey, I didn't see the stacked boxes. However, once I magnified the image about 500%, I saw some faint boxes in the background. -

Other upgrade options based on prior purchases of other KV331 products are also available from KV331 and probably other third-party vendors. If interested in crossgrading/upgrading, check your favorite vendors for rewards/perks -
If you have the player, there's an upgrade at audiodeluxe to update to the Everything Bundle. Not sure if this is an exclusive, if It seems others have similar or greater discounts, etc. https://www.audiodeluxe.com/products/virtual-instruments/kv331-audio-synthmaster-everything-bundle-upgrade-synthmaster-player Upgrade for owners of SynthMaster Player. Use code HOLIDAY22 and get up to 15% extra off. Countdown timer says good for 13 more days. So you have time to decide if this upgrade for you. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with audiodeluxe or KV331, I have no path to gain any income or perks from anyone clicking on the link above and/or getting the upgrade. I do have the Everything Bundle, think highly of it, and paid more for my combined purchases of the various Synthmaster products that led me to get the Everything Bundle. Other upgrade options based on prior purchases of other KV331 products are also available from KV331 and third-party vendors. Are you saying both the strip and the numbering as shown in the guide are wrong? I just looked at some FX chains in my Browser and they look like the icon pictured in slot 1. -
50% off Arturia V Collection 9, FX Collection 3, and Pigments:

Thanks to all for the informative details and personal reflections. I have concluded it is a good deal, but based on other priorities I will not be upgrading this year. As some may know, I have been increasingly integrating Voltage Modular into my CbB-based workflow. So, I booted VM and dusted off "MIDI IO Tester - 003 Analog Lab V.voltagepreset." It reminded me what I especially liked about Analog Lab V--the instruments and the presets sound super nice and VM's control gives me tremendous potential for manipulating my 3200+ presets. And in the process I discovered the free JSPA pack. Again, thanks for the discussion. -
Sorry, but its takes a few seconds to look at the page instead of guessing In case it helps clarify the product, ^^^^^ here are some details from the listing.

Interesting that you are being offered the V9 Collection for €149. In addition to the Easel and Augmented Strings, I have Analog Lab V (upgraded from Intro) plus an upgrade to the additional Analog Lab presets bundle. (I think that added 2,000 to what I had making my total just over 3200.) I am wondering if Pigments knocked your price down. Yeah--the Zebra 2 Dino-Deal looked really good. I even printed out the "Replaced by . . . " card, got out one of my kids' dinosaurs, and found some gear to replace! On the Arturia site the "Buy for _____" page lists the 14 selected packs (832 presets). The demos sound like they are geared towards Techno / Trance / EDM / Urban / Cinematic Producers. As for the two Piano selected packs included, my Meldway Grand seems to be flexible enough to create all sorts of Pianos with very little effort. I also found it cool when I first got it and enjoyed combining different sample and synth layers and playing with CV modulations via Voltage Modular. Maybe I should wipe the dust off Augmented Strings and see if it helps inspire the kind of productivity I have had more recently from playing with some non-Arturia instruments. Just listened to the demos for the 14 selected packs again. They are nice, for sure, but not sure I would use them. Thanks to everyone for chiming in with thoughts and details on this deal. -
Not my favorite Paul Simon song by a long shot, but +1,000 for connecting it with avalanche!!!!!!!

I am not familiar with Arturia's sales strategies. Roughly a month ago, I had the option to get one of the Arturia Collection Compendium bundles for $269. At the time I understood that to include (1) an upgrade to all V9 Collection Instruments plus (2) 10 sound packs valued at $5 to $15 each (approx. $100). Currently, my upgrade price just for the V9 Collection Instruments is $199. Just wondering if the Compendium bundles were a better deal or if I am missing something with the comparison. (I am still leaning towards upgrading to a new SSD instead of investing in more plug-ins/instruments.)
