@Billy86  I simply created a few folders inside a folder called AUDIO DATA ( call the folders what you like ). Inside AUDIO DATA folder I created three more folders:

    - vstplugins32
    - vstplugins64
    - vsteffects

    I actually have a VstPlugins32 and a VstPlugins32Only.

The first is a dumping ground for plugins which have 32 and 64 bit versions, and the second is for older things like Delay Lama which are offered in 32 bit only versions.

When I was still using 32 bit DAWs such as Project 5, I would have them scan both of these folders.  Newer DAWs would only scan the 32Only folder, so that I didn't have to see the 32 and 64 bit versions of a plugin in plugin manager.

    Here are the evaluations.

1 - I think that the options that Cakewalk has in the latest free version should remain free in the free version of SONAR, otherwise the user will stay with Cakewalk and not even migrate to the SONAR free version. Take the case of Dithering types.

That does seem to be an odd choice of something to suddenly make premium, especially since it has been a part of Sonar for 20 years.

    In the cart.

Been comparing the remastered LL4 presets to the originals and I honestly can't hear a difference. Also a bit strange is that the remastered ones have a few with 2 versions e.g Bfly1 and Bfly2 . Not sure what's going on there.

Bfly1 and Bfly2 are patches from LL4.  Oddly they weren't next to each other in the same bank.  There are a few other patches like that in LL4.

  4. One thing that's a real pain point for me right now is dealing with old projects where I have old versions of plugins, especially Kontakt.

One case in point is that I plan on replacing my DAW soo.  I'd rather not have  multiple versions of Kontakt installed when I only need the latest (and 5 for the import features which weren't carried over).

Another issue is that NI tends to update their libraries to include features from the latest versions.  This of course causes problems when loading a project that uses that library but was saved with an older version.

Cakewalk saves plugin state, so it should know which patches/instruments/multis are loaded for the given plugin.  It shouldn't be that difficult to open the latest version with the given preset.  In fact, a few other DAWs already have this functionality I am requesting.

I can't say if they did generally, but they just sent me a serial # for it, and the other
    missing products.

Same here and they did so fairly quickly.

  7. In my case it does not show up in my account.  If I go to their download manager and click on Collections, it displays serial numbers for every collection except that one.

    Here's what's new

    What’s New

Pianoverse, with its 9 pianos and 33 cinematic spaces

The full version of TONEX + 9 Signature Collections

AmpliTube Morley Collection with 3 classic stompbox FX

T-RackS 6’s streamlined workflow and 10 new processors

ARC 4, boosting faster calibration and stunningly natural results

For some reason it's not registering the Morley Collection for me.

  9. From what I have seen (including checking out the demo presets through Analog Lab), the LoFi is much better than the LoFi entries in the NI Play series.

With NI, they seem like they are just tacking lo fi on the end of things, like "Hey let's take our new piano library and run it through Trash so it has a bunch of distortion and media noise and vibrato"

Arturia seems to have more of a vibe like "LoFi?  Like the cheap stuff we used when we were starting out and this is the best we could afford at the time?  I got an old Casio, you still have your old PortaStudio.. maybe we could get some old  Radio Shack mics and one of their old 'reverbs' ..."

Also, more importantly, they have updated nearly everything.  The main change is in popups, with lots of bug fixes.  The Augmented series seems to have been updated to v2 as well, at least with the ones I have.

I was having issues installing the updates for Pigments and Augmented Strings.  It could not seem to find installed paths.  Has anyone had similar issues?

  11. Oddly when I logged in today everything under My Account was in German, but when I clicked on the links they were in English.

Thanks to their integration into Analog Lab I kinda use them all. When searching for presets I don't have to decide beforehand which plugin I want to use today. I search through all the presets of the entire collection and if I need to tweek a preset I can hop into the plugin from within Analog Lab and back. Best concept ever. Also, they have the world's best preset browser.

That's actually a good point.  When I use Analog Lab I tend to find presets for things I wouldn't have thought of, especially the layered ones.   For example, I'm not really a fan of working with modular synthesis, but if I can find a patch that sounds cool I'll use it.

Still, there are more than a few synths in there I haven't opened since I first got them.

Like NI, they normally package in the products that have been released since the previous collection, so would be products like Augmented Yangtze,  MiniBrute, and SynthX,  and probably full version of Augmented Mallets.

JP8000 is the main rumour.  So that's likely to be the bulk of the additions, then soundpacks, and i'm sure at least one existing instrument will see a paid update.

Someone on KVR posted a link to a site which has since been removed which would seem to confirm that there will be the JP 8000 and some new Lo-fi sampler Called Pure LoFi.  Also an update to SEM, which seems like an odd choice.

Not if you wait for Black Friday. Also, might be worth skipping an upgrade or two, if you want to save money.

Edit: I just checked how much I've paid so far.
I crossgraded from Analog Lab Lite&Pigments to V Collection 9 for €149, then upgraded from V Collection 9 to V Collection X for €99. In total, that's €248 for 39 plugins, which makes it €6.36 per plugin. That's ridiculously cheap. People charge more for a handful of presets.

But how much does it come out to when you calculate the Plugins You Actually Use?

It's becoming increasingly difficult to imagine what else they can add to this Collection given how good and complete it is already.

I generally agree but one thing they don't have in this collection is a drum kit.

To make things even more complicated:
Both the "Software Suite" and the "Software Suite Upgrade from any T-Racks Product"  are $29.99.
It probably doesn't matter which one you get if you have an IK registered T-Racks product to upgrade from.

If I had known that I probably would have gone for the first one, as it will be one less serial to enter next time I have to update everything.
