  5. Wow, a price point where the $50 vouchers are actually useful!
  6. ...to be the first ones to hit the "like" button on their child's youtube video that was inspired by the latest pluginguru library (even if they are the only ones in the world ever listening to it)
  7. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=564884&p=8104018&hilit=kilohearts#p8104018 (just an idea for "expanding the options", not my post)
  8. $74.76 at JRR Shop with code GROUP https://www.jrrshop.com/sonible-smart-eq and nice review from White Sea Studio
  9. For reference: After getting 19 vouchers, Humblebundle has been canceling every attempt to re-purchase. I contacted support and they told me that their fraud prevention alerts got triggered and I won't be able to buy more from this promotion ?. Purchases of other bundles is still ok.
  10. https://www.producerplanet.com/us/list/techno-soundpool-sale-40-1954/ There are quite a few commercially licensed soundpools in the $21.59~$23.99 range, ($2.59~$4.99 out of pocket with vouchers from humblebundle)
  11. @Pseudopop Upgrade to TS3Max is a little confusing. You will see a rather high price initially but then they add a coupon to your cart, bringing it down to a more reasonable price
  12. Producerplanet is starting a promotion where they are offering a large discount on one item every alternating weekend The first round is this weekend, the Fast&Raw (Techno) soundpool is on sale at 70~75% off $4.99 for the commercially licensed option (or $2.99 for the non-commercial) https://www.producerplanet.com/us/article/fast-raw-19838/?license=non_commercial
  13. I have had a few application crashes but no computer crashes. BSODs are generally caused by driver issues. Are you using the Magix ASIO driver? If you already have an ASIO driver installed that works reliably you probably want to select that one instead in the program config. In general I use MMM for the initial creative/composing work but then I switch over to Pro Tools for mixing and mastering. The best way I've found for this is to Split the MM tracks. For each track where songmaker has put various types of loops, I create additional tracks and move the objects until every track contains similar loops. E.g., if the Bass track contains "Bass Brezn" and "Bass Patrick Hopper" then I add a track and move all the "Bass Brezn" to it, because chances are that I want to mix them with different settings, and I find it easier moving the loops around before exporting, compared to making splits later Export all the tracks to wav (it takes a little time, but it's needed only once per project) Create a blank Pro Tools project, set the bpm to the same tempo I had in the MMM project (so that the wavs will neatly align to bars), then add the wav's from the previous step This workflow probably works as well with any other DAW, and it should also help in avoiding crashes
  14. Yes, it's annoying, but it's possible to just create multiple accounts, then log off/log on (from the start screen, accessible also through the Help menu) and activate and install the content for each account. Since it's the same installation with the same configuration the content gets downloaded to the correct folders and it will be found after logoff/logon to your original account (or when you click the button to rescan soundpools). The caveat is that it's harder to keep track of what you own across the various accounts and avoid buying duplicates. With a little patience now I have all the available score soundpools and all the Vita instruments, purchased and installed (and it was nowhere near the marathon that it was when I installed IK Total Studio Max). The "collector" in me is happy.
  15. That's strange, the promotion is still going on. I just clicked on the link I posted, to confirm it, everything there is $19.99 (except the 5 collection bundles that are more expensive). Maybe you were looking for Sound Effects libraries, which are not in the current promotion. Magix runs promotions almost constantly. With a little patience you can get Features, (Vita) Instruments, Soundpools and Acid Loop Libraries for 40%~75% off. If I were looking for Sound Effects (for fun, and not for a specific project) I'd just wait a month or two. The Humble Bundle vouchers last until the end of July 2021 and the Fanatical vouchers until the end of 2022.
  16. @ALC it's great to hear about more people having fun with Song Maker! I started collecting info about my experiments with it, with the intention of writing an article/guide. I'm attaching a draft here. It's unfinished but I hope it can help you if you'd like to tweak templates and soundpools. Besides the templates the other options for changing keys and chords are: using the pitch bar, or selecting the pitch for individual clips from their right click menu. A word of caution about the pitch bar - it is functional but also "a little buggy". E.g., in my machine it only shows up if I turn off the "objects with stereo images" option. It also crashes occasionally and "undo" is hit-or-miss. When using the pitch bar you probably want to save often and with different filenames Music Creation with Magix Music Maker.pdf
  17. The version of Music Maker in this bundle is the "Score Edition". For Reference: Versions that are <Genre> Edition don't generally include any of the optional features (Song Maker, Extra Tracks, etc). If you want these features you need to spend money (or vouchers) at the in-app store to get them. The <Genre> Editions are almost the same as the Free Edition, the only difference is that they include free soundpool(s) of the specified genre (Score in this case, which means cinematic/movie score style) For me, the $1 tier with a $20 voucher valid for both Magix and Acid brands, is a real no brainer. Humblebundle will limit the amount of repeat purchases to 3 per payment method (e.g., you can buy 9 vouchers if you purchase 3 with paypal, 3 with amazon, 3 with credit card). This limit resets every few days (weekly?) Right now there is a promotion at producerplanet where all Acid branded music Loop collections are at $20 for the commercial-use licensed version (music loops only, not the sound effect libraries, and just the single collections, collection bundles are more expensive) https://www.producerplanet.com/us/search/?area=audio&acidizedOnly=true&query=&salesOnly=true&category=250 The end result is 150+ loop libraries to choose from, for $1 out-of-pocket each. These are acidized (what Cakewalk calls "Groove Clips"). Many are "oldies" but still "solid", e.g., Mick Fletwood Total Drumming. Just tweak them with VSTs to make them sound more "modern" if you feel like it. Just keep in mind that the promotion has been active for a few days already and it is likely to end soon (on the other hand you may want to save a few vouchers for getting soundpools when there is a good sale)
  18. The coupon has no minimum limits. It can be used to grab a freebie ?
  19. Sweeter deal! I just received an email Thank you for your recent purchase of the Fanatical Music Bundle 2 by MAGIX. This should have included a third coupon and we apologise for this oversight. Please find your new coupon below. <code removed> This coupon has a value of $20USD and can be used as additional credit against selected product in the MAGIX In App Store. These coupons are valid until the 31st of December 2022.
  20. RapidComposer, Melodya and Syne, and are available at a 40% discount during the Anniversary Sale until April 20 RapidComposer Full Edition $119 RapidComposer Light Edition $47 Melodya Full Edition $29 Syne Full Edition $53 http://www.musicdevelopments.com/shop.html And, if you already have it, RapidComposer has been updated to version 4.1.4. This is a maintenance update that includes several bug fixes
  21. For reference: after adding $20 worth of products to your cart, you need to add ETHERA Gold 2.5 LITE to your cart (it won't be added automatically) and the system will automatically reduce the price for you. I got vocal factory (70% off), a pretty good deal if you are interested in vocal libraries https://zero-g.co.uk/products/vocal-factory
  22. 10.0.5 does have the store integrated into the program (Menu: View > Store). To me, it looks like 10.5 and 10.0.5 are just two ways of describing the same thing (but I won't complain if they release something with more features and prove me wrong ?) The integrated store is certainly convenient (it's simpler than browse-purchase-download-unzip) but I don't think ACID is more "powerful" for this...
  23. You need to go to File>Settings>Program Settings and click the "Rescan Soundpools" button (they are not re-scanned automatically at startup, you do need to click the button) In this dialog there is also a Folders tab where you specify the location of the Soundpools, you probably want to check it is set correctly.
  24. >Music Maker kept asking for my serial number, but it needs a serial number that starts with P3 For me, the MusicMaker serial numbers weren't in the email but they show up in my Magix account (log in to the website, then go to My Account > My Products) >[the basic version] does not have the Song Maker Feature I did use coupons for getting features from the in-app store (at the beginning I had many coupons from several promotions) . Yes It is annoying that they're "up to $20" for one item, you cannot get two $10 features with one $20 coupon (the $20 can be used for one $10 feature but you waste the remaining half). The "more tracks" feature moved very quickly to the top of the "wants" list after getting Song Maker. I also got other features like VST support which looked "essential", but actually they haven't been that useful, as I end up using the "export tracks to wav" and doing all the the creative effects, mixing and mastering in another DAW. Note that if you like the "object oriented" approach that Magix apps use, Samplitude can import MMM projects (drag and drop the mmm project into the main Samplitude window) >ACID loops work within Music Maker. Of course, they might not work with Song Maker, which is the only thing that intrigues me. Song Maker depends heavily on the multi-pitch loops in soundpools. It is possible to create your own soundpool using Acid but it does take a bit of preparation work, as you need to pitch-shift the loops and save the various pitches, copying the structure from another soundpool and tweaking the .inf and .xml files. You will also need some plugin/tool that lets you do the pitch-shifting by manipulating individual notes so that you can change loops from major to minor as needed (e.g., the Song Maker templates reference loops in: C d e F G a) >Maybe [use the coupons to] buy some sound effects. Just keep in mind that the coupons have restrictions, primarily they won't work for "3rd-party" purchases, and it is sometimes confusing because different Magix "labels" (e.g., MAGIX and ACID) are not unified in the store. I got coupons when I bought ACID that won't work for buying Soundpools, and coupons when I bought MMM that won't work for buying ACIDized collections (even though all the coupons begin with G3 and look similar) As an additional comment - the MMM in-app store doesn't have a sale right now but they run sales very frequently. Some patience generally pays off well (e.g., the larger soundpools where the commercial versions are $40, they are often 40%~50% off and can then be purchased with just one coupon, or a coupon and only a small amount of cash)
