  1. this developer doesn't have giant discounts. I think the usual sales are around 20% off, so this seems like a pretty good time to buy. thanks for posting.
  2. this was announced several weeks ago and discussed in the deals forum.
  3. this was the guy who promised he'd be my "demon" in a series of hateful anti LGBTQ+ posts in a thread about a developer supporting the LGBTQ+ community someone else posted (not me) and he harassed me and the original poster. that meets a legal threshold of harassment. I am calling on the moderators to abide by their policies. im clearly being harassed and bullied for expressing my gratitude for larry being inclusive and promoting lgbtq+ developers. i took screenshots of those posts. it's blatant hatespeech and harssment the guy attributes to his anti LGBTQ+ hate, far worse than anything in this thread.
  4. From the Cakewalk Forum policy: Hate speech: You are welcome to share your opinions and beliefs on BandLab, even if they might challenge the status quo. However, we will not tolerate Content that is defamatory or libellous or promotes or encourages hatred, discrimination or violence against others including those based on things like race, cultural or national identity or ethnic background, religious beliefs, disability, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  5. the combination of bigotry, intolerance, and intimidation following me just expressing my appreciation for larry being inclusive is really disgusting.
  6. great deal, larry. I know a lot of us don't like subscriptions, but this one is so inexpensive it's worth it. although if you can wait for it to go on sale for $149 for a perpetual license, it may be a better deal, depending on your circumstances.
  7. with that logic we should just post everything even though its not a deal. that makes absolutely no sense and wastes everyone's time.
  8. this came out months ago and is full price. this is a deal forum. i don't get why it got posted? am i missing something?
  9. it seems that they abandoned this forum. it's pretty much dead.
  10. looks really good. the ai features seem like they'd be super useful. it's telling that there's so much enthusiasm for fl studio at cakewalk forum, but very little enthusiasm for their own daws. it seems like an abandoned forum with mostly a small, geriatric group left. honestly, it's pretty depressing.
  11. it kind of blows my mind that it's nearly impossible to find someone with something positive to say about new sonar or next in this forum or the cakewalk subreddit. it makes me wonder how many people actually use their software. I realize that sonar and next aren't the best daws, but for free, you can't expect that they'll be as good as the top players. ive just been looking for anyone with something positive to reassure me that bandlab won't pull the free versions like with cakewalk by bandlab, so im not left with a bunch of project files i can't open at some point, because even free is too expensive if that's the future. i guess no one feels confident about that, so im better off paying for something better? im thinking about a daw called something studio that isn't a vegetable. any advice from you more experienced daw users? last week a member here wrote a hateful series of bigoted posts targeted at me after i posted my appreciation for a dev supporting the lgbtq community. his posts clearly violated this forum's policy. he promised that he would be my "demon" and the guy still posts here the next day, but i can be banned for mentioning another daw. that's f'ed up.
  12. after bandlab raised the price for new sonar subscribers 40 percent, and the regular price of an annual subscription from $149 to $179, the cakewalk subreddit blew up. then a bandlab employee posted that they could pull the free version of sonar at any point, it's a free for all. i'm more interested in next, but i'm not certain anymore after all of the things bandlab has been doing lately. what do you long time customers think? i love that they're doing free versions. but i don't want to create a bunch of projects today that I can't open next year when they ditch the free versions.
  13. Is there a free version of Next too or just Sonar?
