You might remember some discussions where at least one of the moderators and/or staff talked about fine tuning spam detection features/options. My takeaway was there there is indeed spam detection but that some spam managed to get through and tweaks were then made in such a way as to not impede legitimate posts.
Sorry, but I have too much to do today to look up those posts, but I do remember them.
fair enough, but "fine tuning spam detection" lol is bullshit, and for an online company to not be able (or unwilling to bother) to prevent/block spam is a big red flag - imagine using the bandlab social media functionality, what data is being lost there? this is the only forum/website i see this amount of spam, and websites are my work for the last 25 plus years, it's really sad to me (not including the almost as long time i've used cakewalk/sonar products) weep weep etc

That's odd. I have always found someone has deleted the spam I reported and has removed the offenders' accounts. Some times it even gets deleted before I am done reporting an account's spam.
i guess my point is that they who control the forum would put in place technology that prevents the spam getting through in the first place, not just some unpaid mod hiding them

To me reporting spam is another way to contribute to the community.
i've reported spam many many times over the years, but it's never made a difference 🤷♀️

@Wookiee are you just waiting for users to report the spam?

I uninstalled Sonar. I rebooted. I started Command Center. Command Center claims Sonar is all there and ready to Launch.
i believe the uninstaller leaves behind registry beadcrumbs

Sonar Platinum may be old, but it's still Cakewalk's DAW, is it not? Should run on a machine that it had been running fine for a long time
agree, good luck 👍

Go into Windows Sound Control Settings and disable the NVIDA HD audio device. That will force Cakewalk to find another driver.
other audio devices should already be offered in prefs

I'm hoping they take the time to make proper tutorials for it someday.
yep, altho they've always relied on user made tutorials, never made any official ones 🤷♀️
