How to copy and paste multiple MIDI tracks into one MIDI track
arlen2133 replied to Al Robbins's question in Q&A
Al, have you tried to bounce the clips together? That would merge them together as one clip (then you'd see them both in track and PRV). -

Cakewalk - Heavy VST Instrument / MIDI users?
arlen2133 replied to Lee D's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Been all in the box since X1... 95% midi/VSTis. I even mix without bouncing tracks down (forced myself to learn to work with the VST's audio track first). if I want to do something creative with the track I may record a part of it as needed (hence the 95%).. write mostly smooth jazz and similar type stuff. -
Have you tried going back into one of those older projects and "resaving" the preset? I know it's a workaround, but that might kick start it so that you have it in newer projects...

UVI Keysuite Acoustic Piano Collection Introduced at 25% off

Strange... My "intro" price is $149.. Not like either of your intro prices. ? -
I subscribed. ? Although I've been a longtime user, I have a brother that's pretty new to CbBL. This will be a good introduction. Thanks for doing this and much success to you!

Glad you're recovering Mike. Wishing you well..

I've noticed that if you are using a sustain pedal and cut or edit a section (like deleting notes after), the pedal will be left in the "up" position. This causes what sounds like notes sticking when the transport stops... My fix: add a pedal down command so that it cuts off the way I expect it.

Lived in Markham Ill (30 miles south of Chicago) 20 years ago. Lowest it got was -10. I decided to move back to California (yeah, I know.. whimp). ? I still have relatives back there. Been checking on them daily.

Thanks for the tip. I was looking on the legacy forum where someone had done a bunch of them. Problem is the link no longer works. ?

What sample rate are you recording at (and recommend)?
arlen2133 replied to Christian Jones's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
24/44.1 I run all of my sounds/samples ITB. No need to run at anything higher. Like Sidroe said, there's a lot of conversation out there about this but at the end of the day it's all coming back to 44.1 -
+1 on all this.

Hi Dreamer, I would think you don't HAVE to use Cakewalk by Bandlab. Just remember that Cakewalk has moved on (and how), so in order to have issues corrected, you'll need the most current version. And who knows? Those issues might have already been addressed in CWBL (Cakewalk by Bandlab).. ? I'll admit, there is a bit of a learning curve from Sonar 8.5, but I'd say it would be worth it.

I like the idea. I was just going through a bunch of "last years" 8 to 16 bar "ideas" looking to see if there was something I could use them for/with. This would help out and your comment about dragging them in via the browser (NOT sure why I didn't think of that before) would go hand in hand...

Hi James, You should be able to set "sound on sound" as your default in the preferences section (P). Also, as far as I know, project templates will hold your settings as well. what I would do is get all of the settings you typically change before getting started, make the changes then save the template (as your normal template). That way, you can just start right up! ?

Tip: Using an existing VST as a ProChannel module

Love the example. Thanks for doing that. -
Matt, As always, love this one! Been using it since you uploaded it. It's my "go to" for now. ?
