LOL! My Alesis QS 61 is still in mint condition (I think, in my closet). If it had more knobs and sliders that keyboard would be a fine controller! But my Alesis VX49 (plastic and rubber) is standing in the corner now since i got the Arturia Keylab 61 MkII ... for lack of sliders mostly... just knobs and pads... but it could be useful for the B3 2nd tier... ?

You can set up two keyboard controllers for upper and lower, by using 2 MIDI channels, and 3 if you got bass pedals! ?

I bought an Arturia Keylab 61 MkII this year. Had to back order it for 2 months from Sweetwater. Out of stock everywhere! Solid build quality, heavy metal frame, and feels a lot like like the old rompler workstations that were common in the 90's... unlike most of the common cheap plastic controllers available these days (and I have a few). I plan to use this as my main controller. It's not cheap, though! Probably the best alternative to a Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S series. No regrets! But I would avoid the cheap Keylab Essential series. For one thing, no aftertouch... ?

The advice to use the native Novation resources is probably best! But as a long time MIDI-OX user, I was puzzled by your statement that it's no longer available? It's quite useful as a data break-out box for verifying MIDI CC messages sent from external controllers... It's old, but the Windows version is right here.
