  1. I'm glad that some folks are always eager to test the new releases. But for me, I'm usually the last one over the wall! I spent my life in IT, and stability is my most valued asset...
  2. I would say that you did OK, since SampleTron 2 got you in at the $199 GB freebie level, which covers most of the good stuff!
  3. "Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends..."
  4. There's only 4 days left. Last minute rush! ?
  5. As somebody has pointed out earlier, you still may need to buy something at the $99 level first, before joining the GB. It is not entirely clear fom what you posted if you qualify for crossgrade prices. That is so that you will be eligible for the big hitter freebies at the $199 level, such as the MODO's and the Hammond. Those are crossgrade price tier freebies at $199. So you will not see them as available freebies if you do not already own an IK product with MSRP of $99 or up.
  6. I got the SoundPaint host installed, but no instruments yet. The piano download f'd up me, and after that it was blocked. The official release is tomorrow at 12 PM PST.
  7. As Larry already said, shooting for the $199 tier is a good plan! That should get you the most bang for the buck on freebies. For example, for the $199 tier you get MODO Bass, MODO Drum, Hammond B-3X, MixBox, SampleTank 4, Syntronik, plus plenty of extras in the lower tiers like T-RackS modules and AmpliTube collections, and some instruments like Miroslav 2 CE, and some SampleTank instruments.
  8. SampleTron 2 is listed in the Custom Shop under the SampleTank tab for 200 GC.
  9. The Kontakt Factory Selection that ships with the full edition of Kontakt has: Alto Sax Tenor Sax Baritone Sax Sax Section Yes, pricey for one song, but you could possibly find uses for some the bundled instruments in other songs without needing to buy extras. The factory library link is here. The PDF gives a detailed description of everything included. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/samplers/kontakt-6/downloads/
  10. I got Union for something like $5 a while back. But for the life of me, I could not get any velocity response to work with it. Every note at 100% velocity! I even contacted SoundSpot support, and they never responded. So I chose to remove it. Yes, I am aware that they issued a software update with an option for velocity (that was an afterthought?), but it has no effect that I can see. They never updated their documentation for the update either. SMH. Otherwise it looked like an interesting synth... ?
  11. I bought the Asus branded TPM module for my Intel equipped Asus board. Installed and working good! But it turned out that the firmware option was also available in the BIOS, so that I didn't actually need the hardware TPM. Intel has provided the PTT (platform trust technology) in some recent chipsets that can be enabled, so that TPM 2.0 compliance is achieved with that alone. I would check on that before buying anything. I have also heard that AMD has something similar, but I have no first hand info on that brand.
  12. Right, if you never created an account, then you are stuck now. Sorry to hear that! I am curious how you bought and registered Dim Pro without an account? Didn't that that was possible? It was not legal to transfer a license for any Cakewalk product. The only thing I could suggest is finding someone willing to share the DVD installer version. At 2.9 GB the Dim Pro installer a bit large to share with any file sharing services.
  13. You must run KK in standalone at least once to pick up any new plugins.
  14. Better than Wobble and Twist from SONiVOX!
  15. Log into Cakewalk Command Center, or your account at the old Cakewalk website, and your download will be waiting for you. If you need to reset your password contact support@bandlab.com BTW, the Dimension Pro installer is 2.9GB...
  16. Except that the Resonator UI for Kontakt is much better than SampleTank. Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing SampleTank here, but this instrument begs for intuitive control, and the SampleTank UI is a bit meh for that.
  17. I find it odd that The Resonator is missing from the qualifying product list. I understood that it would never be a freebie. So anyway if you really want The Resonator, and you have the full version of Kontakt, the original version is available as a Kontakt library directly from the developer, Indiginus (Tracy Collins), for $59. It sounds really, really good! https://www.indiginus.com/the-resonator
  18. It's not my graph, I just borrowed it from: https://www.hometheatershack.com/threads/downloads-page.19/ They also have a graph for the EMM-6. That one seems to have a much wider variance in the lows and highs. Probably much more need for an accurate calibration file with that one! But it is flat in the middle as well... But then, there was this comparison of these two at: http://www.audioimprov.com/AudioImprov/Mics/Entries/2012/11/12_Dayton_EMM-6_%26_Behringer_ECM-8000_Measurement_Mics.html Response to the same test speaker. ECM-8000 green, EMM-6 yellow. Curves separated for clarity.
  19. I have some Roland hardware that I would probably sell, if I could buy Roland virtual emulations of them without the ridiculous copy protection.
