  1. I discovered that all of my PA products had updates on June 28th. Basically the same changelog as above for each of them. Take a look at the PA support page, and scroll down to the "Plugin Update History" and expand each of your products to see if they updated. https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/support.html
  2. Is NI going to end-of-life the 1.x installer and push out the v2 to all? Is it recommended for all v1x user to upgrade now?
  3. The EZD3 Core Library updates are dated 2022-6-17. The EZdrummer 3 update v3.0.3 is dated 2022-6-28.
  4. Right! I started with a 250 GB SSD that was almost full. But I have installed all the programs that I ever plan to on this system, so the 500 GB just bought me some breathing room. At 280 GB used now, I have set a hard limit for myself of 300 GB used on "C:", or else something gotta go!!! ?
  5. ASIO4all works fine with an on-board audio chip, such as Realtek. You know, the type that ships in most consumer laptops. I used ASIO4all in my Acer laptop, but not for serious use. For me, it worked just OK for DAW playback using virtual instruments. Just don't try to use ASIO4all with a professional audio interface! FYI, Cakewalk did a market study way back during the Sonar Platinum years, and discovered that the majority of users launching Sonar were using on-board audio. What a surprise!
  6. 500 GB is plenty big enough for my system drive M.2 SSD. My current "C:" drive SSD is only 500 GB. I run a lean system drive that is 40% free space now. That means I can easily take scheduled nightly full system drive images and fit several of them (retain 3 days) on a 1TB external WD Elements HDD. My system drive only contains Windows 10, my programs, and my plugin DLL's/VST3's, etc. All of the other content and sample libraries that I use go onto my "D:" drive SSD (which is 2 TB currently). My download archives go onto another internal WD HDD.
  7. In my first comment on this issue I mentioned that only the patch details are missing from the browser (thus meant to imply that the original patch sound remains loaded). No need to reload the patch! The details are refreshed if you just browse to another patch name in the Syn 2 browser, but do not load it, & then browse back to the patch name you had originally loaded (the loaded patch name remains displayed at the top of the Syn 2 UI).
  8. Other hosts too. Checked it with Reaper and Studio One.
  9. Thanks for confirming it! It's not a showstopper by any means, but annoying that IK missed that one. IK "Coming Around Again".
  10. My MB is all ready to go for M.2 NVME. Checked the manual and only one of my two M.2 slots is shared with a SATA port, that gets disabled if the M.2 slot gets used. Even that's not an issue since I'm only using 4 of the available SATA ports as is. Got the M.2 drive in my shopping cart...
  11. I noticed what might be a minor bug in the latest Syntronik 2.0.4, in both VST2 and VST3 plug-ins. No particular instrument either, just affects the one you have loaded. After you load an instrument preset, you normally see the details in the graphic in the right-hand pane. That's good, but if you close and reopen the plug-in window the graphic and the details are gone. Clicking on another instrument, then returning to the one that is loaded restores it, but yeah... looks like an issue. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Examples below:
  12. Your earlier post had inspired me to re-read my ASUS manual sections regarding the M.2 installation. In the manual under "Package contents", they had listed "Accessories: 1 x M.2 screw package". Checked in the box that I had saved, and sure enough, there they were! P.S. I shouldn't have looked at Amazon. They have a shiny new Samsung M.2 SSD for $74.99. I'm tempted... 13. My M.2 slots are PCIE based, so I understand that may cut down on available lanes for PCIE x4 expansion slot usage. But fortunately I am only using the PCIE x16 for my graphics adapter, Nvidia GTX 1650. Everything else is either SATA or USB 3.
  14. My board has 2 x M.2 slot, but I didn't bother with M.2 initially. Decided to stick with SATA 2.5". So that leaves me a bit of upgrade path someday, along with 2 unused RAM slots.
  15. I bumped up my SSD sample drive from 1 TB to 2 TB this year. Still got 600 GB free space on the new drive... ahhh, breathing room for a while! But I also had to get a new 2 TB WD Elements external USB HDD to image that sample drive (weekly).
  16. I paid $249 for VC8 last year, which was a pretty good deal for a first time VC purchase/crossgrade. Then Arturia recently offered me a "special" upgrade to VC9 for $199. I waited a bit, and then Arturia bumped my upgrade up to a "regular" price of $299. ? I will be quite happy with VC8 until I get an upgrade offer for $99...
  17. Still waiting for the IKM email... ?
  18. I don't know anything about SD3, but I seem to recall that a while back somebody mentioned there was a way in Cakewalk to add tracks to an existing VST instance, such as another drum VST like Addictive Drums 2. You can try using the "Append instrument track" item in the track context menu. Then make the necessary adjustments in your chosen VST. 19. Well then, either sell it, give it away, or dump it in the trash! ? FYI: I have always gotten a response from KV331 Audio support. But I have heard a few others say they have sometimes been slow. A very small team, however. Not one of the big Corporations by any means... As far as I know, there only appear to be 3 full time KV331 employees: Bulent, the synth mastermind; Gercek, tech support; and a web developer that runs the web store.
  20. I use a Focusrite interface, and the factory ASIO drivers are excellent! Highly recommend! Don't install ANY generic 3rd party ASIO emulations if you have the real ones! Even Steinberg has been known to slip some generic ASIO into your system when you install their software. That once caused me a big headache until I figured it out!
  21. To use virtual guitar effects in the PC for external audio devices, you would need to route their audio into the PC, and then assign the Guitar Rig or AmpliTube FX to their respective audio tracks in Cakewalk. Same goes for virtual instruments already running in Cakewalk. You just add the audio FX to the audio output of the virtual instrument track or bus.
  22. Don't know what to say, other than suggest contacting support. That's how it works now, per the developer. No problems here as an Everything Bundle user. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8439116#p8439116 Support request: https://www.kv331audio.com/contactus.aspx
  23. Just go to your first post and click "Edit". That way you can add a proper topic name to this thread. "Chris" is not very informative for anyone else that may be seeking similar answers.
  24. The MIDI device is likely not installed on Windows either. Otherwise it would show up as an available selection in MIDI devices.
