  1. I would stick with VST2 for now if that works better. Or else load up a multi with MP2 instruments in SampleTank4, as I doubt that IKM plans any more updates for MP2. Miroslav Philharmonik 2 Latest Release On: 27-01-2020
  2. Good luck! Blackhole is a must-have for sound design, IMO!!! Got a great deal on that a few years ago!
  3. Reaper is very resilient, but not bulletproof. I use it as a test DAW, but it's not my main rig, so I've never tried it with any large projects. But it has often worked better for me with some flaky plugins than any other DAW! Is it crashing Reaper using a simple Philharmonik 2 project, or just with a full orchestra multi? Is it crashing with VST2 or VST3? I saw on another post that you mentioned you were using Windows 11. Did it also crash on Windows 10? You probably want to go ahead and get a ticket open with IKM support. If it's crashing Reaper, it's likely going to be the plugin misbehaving, IMHO. FYI: You can also load the Philharmonik 2 library via SampleTank 4. That is more modern software, and the newer plugin may have performance improvements that function better in Reaper.
  4. Keep that M.2 slot chilly!!!
  5. Well, if you already own other orchestral libraries, you may want to consider whether you really NEED it. But it does have some nice solo strings that a few libraries lack with string sections or ensembles only. And a nice percussion section (in the included MP1 folder).
  6. MP2 is legacy SampleTank 3. I didn't include the version number in my post, but was referring to the current offering of Miroslav 2. SampleTank 3 is a legacy product. The original MP is even older, and you need ST3 to import it. You cannot bring the original MP directly into ST4, although there is a folder of MP1 instruments included in MP2. Tip: when you load a ST3 based instrument such as MP2 into ST4, the editor will display "Legacy ST3" directly beneath the zone button.
  7. Update good here. Still annoying that you cannot hide the locked basses that you do not own. Even more so that IK places the locked basses starting in the 4th browser slot, so that you have to scroll past all of the locked basses in order to reach the remainder of your unlocked basses. ?
  8. Thanks! Apparently still waiting for the IKM email! ?
  9. Miroslav is a legacy SampleTank3 based library, that will load and play in SampleTank 4 if desired.
  10. Run HWMonitor. It shows all available temp sensors, including the mainboard.
  11. Well starting with the basics, drivers don't kick in until the OS such as Windows loads them. So your latest update really shouldn't have caused any errors at the motherboard/BIOS level. You may be onto something with the temps. Do you have another M.2 slot you can move it to? Is there a heat sink for the M.2 drive?
  12. HWMonitor displays the current value/min/max for each sensor, so start it while your system is idle and let it settle at the min values before you begin stress testing. Then you can see how much the current and max values change from the idle baseline.
  13. Memtest86 is a great free tool to test and burn in your new memory! Boot it from a USB stick and let it run test passes all night. It's always a great feeling to see zero errors when it's finished! Another good tool to stress test your CPU and cooling is freeware Prime95. The torture test will run all of your cores at 100% utilization, with your fans at max RPM! You will quickly learn if your cooling plan is sufficient for a full load. https://prime95.en.lo4d.com/windows And you should run the free CPUID HWMonitor so that you can observe your temps, fans, and voltages in real time during the torture test. https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.htm
  14. Dang! That's a huge air cooler! Looks like the radiator under the hood of my car, LOL!!! ?
  15. Maybe now that all the other issues have (hopefully) been corrected, they will have time to address this. ?
  16. And if you really want to drill down and see what is using the most space on your drive, I highly recommend this free utility... Treesize free: https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free Want to Know Where Your Disk Space Has Gone? Get TreeSize Free! Even in the times of cheap terabytes a final truth remains: sooner or later every hard disk will near capacity. We have the solution. Use TreeSize Free to keep an eye on your disk space. TreeSize Free is compatible with any edition of Windows starting with Windows 8 / Server 2012 (32-bit and 64-bit).
  17. I set my page file manually to a few GB's. No problems here with 16 GB RAM!
  18. I have overcome those sort of issues with directory junctions (symlinks). Everything is happy on my secondary drive!
  19. Of course you did!
  20. You know with some installers, like those from AAS, Kilohearts, and PA, they are so fast and efficient that you may as well install your entire collection to ensure that you have the latest!
  21. I cannot state with certainty which release this issue originated with, only that I observed it with the most recent update. I have been asleep at the wheel since the group buy, apparently... ?
  22. I'm using a 2i2 3rd gen on my main PC. It's been very solid, and I don't need a lot of analog inputs, mostly just a stable platform for in the box VSTi's...
  23. My Acer laptop died and I'm actually using WASAPI now on my new Dell Win10 laptop. But it's just a toy & mobile office for traveling. My real DAW is a desktop PC running Focusrite ASIO on a Scarlett USB. And if I was ever going to attempt any remote recording with the Dell laptop, I would unplug the Scarlett and take it along!
