  1. My son has one with the 15 buttons on it and he raves about it. When he told me about it and sent a pic, then explained that you can make your own icons... yeah my mind started wondering... could I use this? Now they have come out with knobs on it... this makes it much more useable! Yeb, another hardware purchase maybe on the horizon. : )
  2. Yep. It does help me to get my mixes to sound better on a variety of stuff. Used one of those programs to get a few songs ready for cell phones and it worked pretty darn good. Much better than I expected.
  3. Most of my purchases this year have been hardware.
  4. DP. Hadn't had one of those in a long time!!
  5. When I built my machine a few years ago I went with 1tb for sample drive, never ever thinking I would use it all. Sample Tank 3 and 4 take up most of it.
  6. Yes, they are regular internal desktop drives.
  7. Yeah I made the assumption he was asking about internal ssd.
  8. Well it's just like the other products from IK, UAD, and others (that I can't think of right now) were you can mix on your headphones. The idea is that you can use a profile of your headphones and then chose which "mix room" you want to mix in. With the results depending on the quality of your headphones and your mixing skills. IK has ARC and Lurssen Mastering, but neither have many headphone profiles at all. Another company makes a product that has more headphone profiles and is pretty popular. Gimmick? Depends on what your looking for. Authentic room sound? Or just some good help. I have gotten good results with ARC, UAD Oceanway, and Waves NX Virtual Room. Like Leandro said, the Waves NX suite offers something the others don't, that "head tracker" that helps make the mix experience more immersive.
  9. Oh... ok. Now I understand!
  10. Just under $52 over at everyplugin.com You get all the NX studios with it. It also has a lot (250+) of headphone profiles too. It has both my AT and my AKG headphones!! https://www.waves.com/bundles/nx-virtual-studio-collection
  11. I also found this on the Newegg app: >>>>> Black Friday Price Protection Is Here! Get a Headstart on Your Holiday Shopping with Our Black Friday Price Protection Program* We're launching our Black Friday Price Protection to reassure early holiday shoppers that they can shop with confidence now, while supplies are strong. Keep checking, as additional deals will be added throughout the coming weeks. If you purchase an eligible product displaying the Black Friday Price Protection from Nov. 1 through Nov. 20, 2022 and after your purchase, that same product ends up discounted to a lower price on Newegg.com on or before Nov. 26, 2022, Newegg will automatically refund the difference to the original payment method. There's no need to track prices or submit a claim – refunds will be automatically processed by Dec. 6, 2022 and an email confirmation will be sent to you. >>>>>>
  12. According to my Newegg app, this drive is on back order.
  13. As in two sets of chips with one set on each side of the circuit board? Or with chips being paired together? Or are you thinking there is platters? Not understanding the question.
  14. These already come with the new updates... so no woop needed!!

    Cube Mini for 10

And how does it sound?!! We have all figured out it's worth the ten spot!!
  17. There still is a code... for WUP!! But Koby at everyplugin.com has this Ren Max deal for $29!! That's just a little under $3 per plugin!! Which is a no-brainer.
  18. This is what I was going to do when Gibson bailed on CW. I had S1, (and I still keep it updated), but I liked the option of making the DAW the way I want. I was neck deep in the Reaper manual when Bandlab resurrected CW. I stick with CW because it's easy for me. I just know it so well. And they have been improving it too. So IMHO CW is the best bang for buck, with Reaper a very close second.

    Cube Mini for 10

    Wondering the same.
  20. Yes they do. Go to you Waves account and select the upgrade you want, then you can get a code to send to Koby over at everyplugin.com and get a great price on it. Better than what Waves will give you.
  21. Back in the day we would take milk jugs and cut out a pick from it. Depending on where you cut; middle was thin; top was thick, and bottom was heavy. Then we would chew on them for a few days. It would give them "texture". Used imitation tortoise shell at first. Then found them blue flexible picks and used them until I found a .73mm Yellow Tortex. Used them for years. Then several years ago I switched to a John Petrucci pick.
