    Good stuff guys.

Just downloaded NYC Showroom IR zip from CbB. Can someone here suggest the best path for installing?

    Thanks in advance.

    Dano

Just install in your Cakewalk Content folder (if your a CW user) or install to a directory of your choice. Then you can use them in the IR loader of your choice.

  2. CW did release some IR from the New York Studio, but I am not sure if these are the same ones.

I would think (read: my opinion) is that they are the same ones, which are really good.

[edit] Larry, where did you get that link from? Maybe an announcement or something like that??

EzKeys would be my prime candidate for a UI upgrade. I find the small window is a real pain to use.

    Yes!!

And a tab like EZD2 that allows you to select and alter the velocity of hits, but for EZK it would be notes.

perhaps we were finally going to get a scalable full-screen UI like EzBass?

Sadly not - just a few bug fixes. ?

    Ah well, maybe next time...

    Oh we will get it.

But we will have to pay for it!! : )

cheapest was introductory at $199...still too much

    Now I remember.

This and Melodyne has me considering my options. IIRC I got the upgrade from 2 to 3 for less than $150?

the upgrade from 4 is $41.63

Yeah, but it goes up pretty quick from that point!!

$231 is kinda outta my range for a vocal aligner!! When I got the free version from CW. I wonder if it's the same. IOW is the free version the Synco Arts technology? Or did CW create their own and called it the same thing?

If Pro already bundles them then wouldn't/shouldn't the updates with the VST's be included?

I am thinking that it's a perk for Sphere paying customers, an enticement for non-users (non-paying customers!!)

You get it with Pro, but not to use in another DAW. That's because your not a Sphere user!!

I realized how deep the discounts really got...then went crazy.

They have some really good stuff. Some of the best in the business in fact. I haven't regretted getting in on some of this stuff, even at the non sale prices I paid for some of it.

I haven't tried this plugin yet, but I do have the STV Classic by Brainworx that I have with my Universal Audio plugins and I can tell you, that one sounds great. I had always used mostly Overlouds Mark Bass in my projects. Now I reach for the UA SVT Classic. So I am hoping this one sounds close to the UA version.

Wonder how much power that amp was putting out to drive those 32 speakers?

600 watts. Seems that it was an amp they built back in the 80's for promotional reasons. They have fixed it up and will be at NAMM this year. The cab weighs 800lbs!!! OMG!!!

    Any word?

I'd sure like to get this to him!

Nope. Nothing. I'd hang to it for a little while Larry. Something unforeseen may have happened, that maybe why he's not got back to any of us.
