Waves One Knob Pumper FREE for SoundCloud Subscribers
Michael Docy replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I have never used it to pump the entire mix... I have used it to slightly pump boring keyboard pads and cheesy accordion sounds to make them more interesting in the mix. BTW, it is still available today on the 12th. -
Seems too good to be true. I know if you purchase it from Magix for $199.00 you get the free SFP13 update. Are you sure that we get the free SFP13 update if we purchase it from Reverb for the $99.50 sale price?

Good price but be aware that Sound Forge Pro 13 is supposed to be released sometime in April.

I'm in. Good price!

I only buy new compressors if they do something better or smarter than what I currently have or if it has a unique useable feature. I like the negative ratios for special effects and the GR Limit for letting the loud parts get through. It uses internal 4X oversampling when your daw sample rate is set to 44.1k or 48k. I can't resist... snagged it!

I may get this. Looks like a good delay. Anybody have it and recommend it? I don't have a delay with built-in ducking and this one seems to have it.
-
4:20 -- "It really gives you a sense of what you're getting, Soundwise!" Serious question: How to use the plugin? Do you put one instance of it on every track, or what? I don't understand how it interfaces with the daw.

Michael Docy replied to Hidden Symmetry's topic in Deals
I got the 99 dollar voucher too. It looks like a great compressor but I can't afford it at the moment. I'll probably demo it to see if it will be on my "future purchase candidate" list.- 10 replies

Voxengo Correlometer free multi-band correlation meter plugin released
Michael Docy replied to Michael Docy's topic in Deals
It works and the price is right. It is an interesting concept: being able to visualize phase issues in the frequency domain. I just tried it on the master buss to see if any frequency-specific phase issues were happening on my recent song mix. The entire graph stayed in the positive except for a brief moment when I observed a slight negative around 200 Hz. The 200 Hz region can have a lot going on, so it is not surprising to me. The small negative dip was so quick that I am not very concerned about it. To verify that the plugin is actually working, I placed the plugin "Channel Tools" on the bass guitar sub-group. I flipped the phase of the "right" channel on the "Channel Tools" plugin. The Correlometer display immediately displayed negative bars on everything from 20 to about 200 Hz. This was exactly what I expected to see. I tried flipping the phase on one side of the drum buss and got the negative bars on the lows and the highs, where the majority of the drum sound was coming from. The Correlometer seems to be doing its job as intended. I need to try it on many different mixes, including commercial releases, to get a good feel for what the display is telling me and to learn when I should make adjustments to the mix based on what the display is telling me.- 1 reply

2-Jan-2019: Voxengo is happy to release its newest free plug-in - Correlometer, an analog-style stereo multi-band correlation meter plug-in for professional music production applications. Correlometer is available in AAX, AudioUnit, VST and VST3 plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support), for macOS and Windows computers. Correlometer is a free analog-style stereo multi-band correlation meter AudioUnit, AAX and VST plugin for professional music production applications. It is based on correlation meter found in PHA-979 phase-alignment plugin. Multi-band correlation meter is an advanced way to check for presence of out-of-phase elements in the mix. Broadband correlation metering reports overall phase issues and may misrepresent problems present in select spectral bands, while multi-band correlation meter easily highlights problems present in mid to high frequencies that are not easily heard by ear, but may still reduce clarity of the mix. Another application of multi-band correlation metering is phase- and time-aligning of channels and tracks, especially bass and bass-drum pairs, guitar mic and D.I. source pairs, two-microphone stereo recordings, etc. Correlometer can display 4 to 64 individual spectral bands, with adjustable band quality factor that controls the degree of band’s selectivity. Averaging time of correlation estimator can be adjusted. Correlometer supports side-chain inputs for easy correlation estimation between separate audio tracks. Correlometer features: 4 to 64 band correlation meter Adjustable band quality factor Adjustable averaging time Side-chain input Resizable user interface All sample rates support Zero processing latency User interface color schemes Retina and HighDPI support Correlometer can be downloaded freely at the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com/product/correlometer/?eref=ml
