  1. Yes, physically swapping them. When I was installing the other drives, (see above), I would open the BIOS to reset the "C" drive. but typically the BIOS follows the swapped drive as the 'OS' drive. Thanks for your reply.
  2. I have 5 additional HDD's in this computer and had recently replaced them with new drives. I had kept them mostly disconnected as I worked through the new installs but lately hooked them all up. I tried disconnecting them again and that seems to have narrowed down the issue. I'll now go through them one at a time and hopefully find the culprit. Thanks for the help.
  3. I have two swapable "C" drives in my computer. One for my business, (win 7) and one for music, (win 10). Lately both of them are taking a really long time to boot, up to 30 minutes. Any thoughts about what may be causing this? TIA
  4. I installed MailWasher on my Music drive, (it allows me to view my emails on the server instead of downloading) so I can just copy the 2FA code and paste it into the login. Interesting though, when I went to open CbB it just asked me to log in and did not request the 2FA. When I contacted support I also asked this: If I upgrade to the new Sonar, will it still phone home all the time? Also, if I don't renew my subscription will I still be able to use the program? and this was their response: If you upgrade to the new Sonar, it will occasionally check in online to verify your subscription status, but it doesn’t constantly "phone home." If you decide not to renew your subscription, you’ll still be able to open and access your projects in a read-only mode, but you won’t be able to save or export until you reactivate your membership. I guess I missed this in the discussions about the new subscription system.
  5. Are you saying that every time you open Sonar you have to sign in with BL?
  6. Which support did you contact? I'm having the same problem except my email is on another "C" drive in my computer, (I use two "C" drives. 1 for business, emails etc and 1 for music). So obviously I can't use the 2FA which emails. Can this be changed to a phone call? TIA
  7. Hi Mettelus. Thanks again for your help. I was able to find a used, (like new) 970 and with a little board modification, it's up and running! Paul
  8. Hi All. I've been running this box since 2016 and the graphics card has died on one side so I'm looking for suggestions to replace it. Specs: Power Supply = Corsair, Rmi Series, RM 850i, 850 watts MB = Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7 LGA 1150 w/ 16GB DDR3 ram Processor = Intel Core i7-4790k LGA 1150 Graphics = Gigabyte GEFORCE GT 730, Nvidia GT 730/Rev 2.0, PCI 2.0x8/2GB DDR3/64 bit. D-Sub/Dual-Link DVI-D/HDMI Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. The grass would actually be greener over the drain field, (but who's counting)? lol
  10. I ended up doing the clean install which included all the previous versions of Sonar I had installed, (Sonar 8, 8.5, X2 & X3, Splat & CbB). What a pain! CbB did open at that point but I could not open a project file without a crash. I began to open project files via “Safe Mode” and after a long and arduous process I identified the plugin that was causing the problem. Unfortunately, I have no idea what was causing the initial CbB crashes. The project file crashes was caused by BReverb but I think I initially installed the wrong version. If I remember correctly, there was a problem with BReverb at one point and an updated version for Sonar was released. The problem with CbB crashing might have been a Win10 update. I keep this computer offline but whenever I need to access the Web, it sneaks in an update and I don’t always see it. Everything seems to be working as it should now. Thanks for your help. Paul
  11. Thanks Ralph. I've uninstalled my Focusrite drivers and Control software as well as Sonarworks SoundID Reference and CbB will still not open. I really don't want to reinstall CbB but that's what support is advising, a clean reinstall. I'm concerned that doing a complete uninstall will wipe all the previous versions of Sonar I have installed. While getting everything back in is possible, it's a lot of work! Paul
  12. Well, I've tried everything I can think of except reinstalling CbB. Guess I'll give support a call and see what happens. Thanks all. Paul
  13. Thanks Mark. I'll give that a try.
