Correction I think the name of that was keyscape free. And I downloaded the program and it said the sounds as well but I couldn't move them into a Windows programs VST files folder without being administrator. WSS

It's the keyscape free VST and a problem I was having wasn't with getting Cakewalk to open up as administrator, I'm hip to that, I couldn't download the samples. WSS

This is probably been done a few times before but what's the easiest drum VST you guys are using? Superior? Addictive? Session? Toontracks? I have session drummer that came with sonar but if something's easier I would swap it out. And own the groove monkee mega pack I also I have some midi and wav percussion loops from the ancient drag and drop desk. Can one still acidize a loop to use the wave files at a different BPM? (The wav only goes up to 120 )Also as to the mini ones what would be a good GM sound set for percussion instruments? Thank you WSS

I have one that's a pain in my oh, well you know, that wants me the sign on as administrator to do it and I can't figure that out so I'm just not going to use it. WSS

Are they installed in the folder that Cakewalk scans when it's looking for VST plugins? If not there is a way to include those folders into the group that Cakewalk actually does scan on Startup. Windows program files VST folder should be on the list. WSS

That's pretty good deal maybe I should try that. I looked them up and the full version was almost a hundred and forty bucks which isn't worth it if I can get Kontakt piano Noir for 150. I wouldn't mind having truepianos if it was 48 bucks. WSS

I have used midi drum loops on occasion and a long time ago some wav loops for percussion that I stretched with the future and Cakewalk that would acidize a loop. Meaning it would stretch to fit whatever Tempo I was using within reason. I keep getting advertisements for the keyboard guitar percussion Etc Loop packages from toontracks. Is that kind of the same thing? Do they provide those loops and a variety of key signatures major minor Etc? Are there any tutorials out there that would cover something like this? Just curious. WSS

I don't know if this helps at all but I just downloaded and installed Komplete Start Suite. I had to go into plugins manager and add the Native Instruments program files VST folders to the VST search path but they do come up and Cakewalk. It only says Kontakt. Not Kontakt 5 or 6. So I'm guessing it has to be the most current version regardless of the moniker. WSS

Can't find anything that matches this on the NI support page or on their forum. I opened an account, downloaded Access from Native Instruments clicked on uninstalled products a bunch of free downloads showed up including kontakt player 6. (Iwant the piano Noir among other things) I click where it says download all and immediately I get an error message saying invalid download path. I uninstalled Native Instruments access and reinstalled it with the same problems. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you so much. WSS

This isn't exactly on topic but is Komplete start again and kontakt player virtually the same thing? Or do you need one or the other or both? WSS

Hi everyone. So I downloaded keyzone VST classic and I'm trying to add it to my program files Cakewalk VST plugins. Unfortunately if I try to download into that folder or copy and paste I have no luck because it says I don't have permission. No idea how to run as administrator from there? I told it to install anyway and it appears in my bottom foldrr of VST plugs but I drag it into a track and click on it and it says there are no sounds. WSS

Oh no doubt trupiano's is probably a pretty dated program by now. I'll try logging in and see if I'm in the memory. Like I said I love the piano noire but I've heard good things about the garritan I think they make the sampled Abbey Road Grand. WSS

So I'm just about positive I had the full version way back in the day but unfortunately nothing but the Amber module shows up. I don't see a second instance in VST plugs. Now I can buy the full version again for like a hundred and thirty bucks but for 150 I can download the kontakt player and get the piano Noire. I think that's probably the way to go. WSS

I had seen that somewhere else before and I forget the procedure. I'd be interested to find that out as well.. WSS

Way back before I recorded on a computer I had a Roland 2480. Loved it. They had effects cards and one of them contained a series of Roland COSM guitar modeling presets and I really really liked them. There's athe TH3 guitar effect amp sim plug-in with Cakewalk which is not bad but does anybody know what happened to the Roland plugs or something that would be similar to them today? WSS
