Good tune & songwriting Barry. I'm on laptop so can't really judge the mix but the vocals seem to be very wide & eq'd where they're not blending with the instruments. Hard to tell, maybe an effect you'e going for & it's not translating over these crappy speakers. Anyway I enjoyed the song, great job.

Revisited & did a quick remix of this older project today. I may re-do it with a human drummer one day. Made a quick video backdrop for it with footage I took while in Europe & U.S. plus jumpbacks & stock footage. Stay safe & Go well.

Dirk posted on FB- "We announced earlier today that the new AMEK EQ200 would not be available separately upon its launch on May 19. We had lately indeed planned to make this high-end plugin available via our cost-effective rental bundles only. BUT... some users on facebook have made me aware of the fact that we had sent out promotional emails earlier this month already, with a $25 voucher, and the promise to let you buy the new May releases (incl. the AMEK) using your voucher. Now, we may be crazy sometimes, but we will always do our best to honor our promises to you, so I took the decision right now to launch the AMEK EQ200 on May 19 exactly the way you are used to with all our launches. The EQ200 will be available in our MIX & MASTER and the MEGA bundles, but you will be able to buy a perpetual license as well."

That is how it's currently working for me. Importing the license into the SINE app didn't affect the Kontakt versions. They're co-existing. Of course NI might change that policy in the future. I'm guessing the Kontakt versions will no longer be updated & OT moves to Sine exclusively. -

You can keep the Kontakt version installed but the Sine versions are separate & will need to be downloaded via the Sine app. In other words you can't use the Sine player to load the Kontakt libraries. You can however load both Sine & Kontakt version instances in a project. -
Bought it years ago but don't use it these days. Tricky to dial in on the 2 bus but once you do it can sound very good. Usable on vox & instruments as well.

Here's a good & interesting review of the Core edition.

Steven Wilson Remix competition
Hidden Symmetry replied to Vernon Barnes's topic in The Coffee House
SoundCloud uses an automated content identification system so it's done via a data base. I've had my own material blocked & had to verify I was the copyright owner. That was a few years ago though, it hasn't happened since. -
I've been using this in Cubase but today I tried latest version CbB & this update & it's not working correctly. (Using Auto Gain) During the course of working on a project I'll notice volume changes on tracks. I'll open the gui & find the volume of any Gain modules reset to zero & in it's off state. Enabling the 'Auto' again will put them back at the first set values. It happens at random. Sometimes the whole strip reverts to the default preset as well. Working fine in Cubase. P.S. After scanning several times there isn't a mono version listed in Plugin Manager, VST2 or 3. Again mono shows up in Cubase.

Yeah, pretty good but not great judging from what I heard in some of those brass sounds & some of those Winds. I'd still have to use my other libs. It defeats it's purpose from what I'm looking for in an all in one orchestra library solution.
-
Thanks, I'll try the free survey demo. From what I've heard online I'm not that crazy about the reverb, some of the brass & winds sounds but could get used for sketching or in combo with other libs.. The Core version looks temping but will wait.

Yes very heavy, lifted that sucker many times along with B3's / Leslies up stairs too.. In the mid 70's out bass player used to blast his Alembic through one. There was a problem when he first got it, would start buzzing then the cab + amp on top would start moving across the floor. Man, that thing was loud, it could handle any club & sounded fantastic!

I know you purchased BBCSO when it was released a while back. How are you liking it? Any improvements since released?

Sad news - RIP As a kid growing up in Michigan I used to to crank Autobahn in a Vega loaded with Mind Blowers on 8 track tape.

So apart from the second channel, which, unlike in its hardware role model, has already been added in the “mono” MDE plugin, we have an added EQ section here, and the compression curve is actually quite different from the mono version. If one would ask about the difference in purpose of the two, the mono compressor would usually go on individual tracks, while the stereo compressor, with its noticeably more gentle compression curve and the additional EQ options, would go on the master buss. $149.00 If you are already an owner of a Full Bundle, an All Plugin Bundle or a MagicDeathEye (mono) license, you are entitled to a reduction of 33 percent (separate emails will be sent out with further details). If you haven't bought a license of the "mono" MagicDeathEye yet: the two together can now be purchased as a bundle, the total price being $199 instead of $249. https://ddmf.eu/magicdeatheyestereo/

Hidden Symmetry replied to Christian Jones's topic in Deals
Check out Eastman & Peerless too. I'm a lefty so my choices get narrowed down, picked up this Eastman. Nice 175-ish vibe for a decent price. -
Thanks Tom, appreciate the feedback.

It's relatively easy once you understand the basics. I'd first suggest to read any documents or do searches so you understand what a copyright actually is & what it covers. You're registering the right to claim, it's not a guarantee of ownership. https://www.copyright.gov/ For U.S. copyright start by going here, signing up & doing it online at their eCO website. https://eco.copyright.gov/eService_enu/start.swe?SWECmd=Start&SWEHo=eco.copyright.gov One tip is you can make one registration to claim both the sound recording ( SR ) & the underlying work (PA) using a single SR form if you've created both. If your work is unpublished you can submit 10 tunes using one SR (for a single fee of 65.00, the rate was just increased btw). Basically you fill out the form, pay the fee then upload the content. (Wav, mp3) After a month or several you will receive the copyright document plus it will also be listed in your eCO account. Hope that helps..
