  1. wow! look great. i'm about to buy a M32 and i guess you integration will be precious
  2. I have exaclty the same problem with the last cakewalk release! trymany solution, nothing work! cannot use cakewalk any more
  3. and what would you think of such pricing model: release different versions of the software, based on a number of monthly usage hours. example: - if you need less than 15 hours/month of Sonar usage, it remain free (you are a very casual user) - if you need less than 50 hours/month of sonar usage, you have to pay a "small user" price - if you need more than 50 hours of usage/month, you are an advanced/professional user, so you have to pay a higher price. don't you think such model could be fair and acceptable for everyone? You could also have another "dimension" in pricing: - one shot subscription: you get the software with time unlimited bug corrections but no future functional updates (you have to pay another 1 shot "upgrade subscription" to go from version N to N+1 or get a pack of new major features) , community support -Premium yearly or monthly subscription: include functionnal updates as long as you renew your subscription , community suport - professional yearly or monthly subscription : add premium support with SLA, chat/webconferencing, if possible multilingual so you will get a price matrix like this: (see attach file)
  4. argh! so this confirm you have no plan to release a free version of Cakewalk Sonar witout time limit, right? The "paid version" will not be just to get new great features compared with what we have now for free, but for everyone : even the most "casual" user will have to go with a paid version (once CbB will be discontinued). is it right?
  5. This model is fair if "updates" means "new features", but what about bug corrections? if someone paid for a software with lifetime use, at least bug corrections should be available for free with no time limits.
  6. Hi guys! This news is an earthquake! On the first hand, it's wonderfull to see a great acceleration of Cakewalk developement, On the other hand, "price points designed to meet the needs of different customers" is clearly the end of the "100% free AND 100% unlimited software" model! Of course , i understand a so great product, that need big investments cannot remain eternaly free. But I hope all the currently available features and caracteristics of CbB will remain proposed in a free version of Cakewalk Sonar, and the paid version will only bring new great features and instruments/plugin bundle. Ask to pay to have more is totally fair, but ask to pay to get what is currently free is clearly disapointing. i also have one little question: i curently use a very beautifull skin for CbB. Is the new Cakewalk Sonar -and it's announced "UI enhancements"- compatible with CbB existing skins?
  7. Hi sorry for my bad english... i would like to know if there are equivalent in Cakewalk to macros from Live Live Macro is a question of MIDI controler assignment. The purpose is a kind of "2 levels" MIDI controler assignment. 1st, you define some "virtual knobs (or controls)", and assign each virtual knob to a real knob of your controler. But that's not all. The purpose is to be able to very easily configure a separate MIDI assigment to each virtual Knob for each track of your project. So, without doing some manual midi chanel assignment nor changing midi chanel on your controler, your midi controler can very easily control each of your virtual intruments parameters while selecting the appropriate track. Is there something equivalent in cakewalk. If not, i propose this function as new FR, It would be very great to have such feature on Cakewalk
  8. I totaly agree. This kind of feature... at least at the MIDI level, if possible at the audio level (but we all undertand it would be much more complex and could come later), is really something important to stay on par with the capabilities of the major DAWs available. This is clearly a huge development not easy for a free software, but it would be a very usefull add-on. I hope the cakawalk developer can work on this and bring us something in the next months.
  9. Hi It would be great to have a visual preview of the available plugins in the "add instrument" view, based of thumbnail of the plugin screen. This feature exist in FL studio and it's great
