it's a good delay (IMO). Wouldn't want to pay $149 for it.
be aware the vst3 version is a bit buggy (again IMO) - fixes were promised a year or so ago but never happened. Stick to VST2

Pulsar look fine other than the ilok liscencing system.
understood - although personally I prefer it - and the Pulsar stuff works on the ilok cloud so you don't even need a dongle.

Is there a reason to get HALion if you have Kontakt, Omnisphere, and Falcon? I don't really use it when I use Cubase, so I have no idea if there is anything special about it.
Quick answer
no

+1 on tube modulator
+1 on Echoes T7E too - although the Echorec from Pulsar deal that Reid posted a couple of days ago is also worth a punt

I've been watching this. Was a little skeptical in the beginning. Didn't seem entirely ironed out yet. In fact it wasn't. Might be a good time to check it out again. Seems like John has worked through a lot of the issues.
I would feel better if he was also showing the demo on a PC. He is always on a Mac here ( and in all of his demos). I don't use a Mac. Can anyone confirm everything is just as smooth using a PC? John makes sound banks for existing programs. He is beginning to lead us to files not associated with the program library. Is this the beginning of a trend? Probably. I see eventual sound banks for UNIFY as an extra. Not a bad thing. The man has to eat. I wouldn't expect to see a lot more free "included" sound banks in the future though. I could be wrong. I hope I am. Would only make sense that he would move this direction. Program updates free, future sounds for it, probably not.
I'm on windows - and there has been teething problems but seems to work perfectly of late...
As you allude to - I think we're going to see more and more add ons, there is already a preset pack I think...Plus I think we'll see a "pro" version soon.
At the price it's hard to complain though. Its the kind of plugin which makes you think, "why didn't I think of that"...in my case it's because I'm not smart enough

There is a huge disconnect between Steinberg and their store. They’ve recently changed provider and it’s actually got worse (which you would assume was impossible)

I guess it's a good thing I'm going to have to wait a couple weeks for it. ?
?- although I think some of those bugs are gonna take a little more than 2 weeks to shake out

can I suggest you hold off installing SL7 for now.....it really is full of showstopping bugs.....buy it by all means but you're gonna get frustrated with all the things that don't work.

obviously you'll miss the PB reward points if you are collecting them but you might avoid local taxes

So how do y'all think the TB bundle compares to Gullfoss? I remember demoing Gullfoss and thinking it was nice, but not incredible. However, I just saw a demo on YouTube and it made me salivate. It looks like the Sculptor and Tonal Balance Control 2 could do the work?
both !

Should I take down the Snake Oil guy? I find his whining amusing. Also, this whole issue of realistic GUI is also something that is a big rant for me... I enjoy a a nice graphic for a plugin, but I'm suspicious of how much I'm looking more than listening. ?
please leave it up
- everyone is entitled to an opinion (no matter how uninformed it may be !)
I do like a realistic GUI - especially on something that is supposed to be a recreation of a very specific FX - I've stopped worrying about if it's influencing my opinion on the sound. IMO having a good time whilst doing music is much more important than the result and usually the 'good time' is reflected in the output.
Just having a play with the echorec now - it's very nice. I have the audiority one too - this is different but good. Thanks for the heads-up

run Native Access to update
(I can't cut-n-paste the change log from Native Access but it's pretty small)

I'm a sucker for this kind of thing.......
also that guy from the White Sea Studio / Snake Oil youtube channel.....spends most of the time complaining about the (rather good) GUI - and it's obvious he has ZERO idea what an echorec actually is or what it should sound like (he keeps calling it a tape delay) Then he tries to evaluate if it sounds authentic......
how does this get 34,000 views ? Do people trust this kind of "review" ?
(rant over - it's still early and I need more tea
)

I don't think they ever send any ?

https://www.eventideaudio.com/products/reverb/reverb/shimmerverb
as regular as clockwork (see what I did there!) - yet another plug from Eventide
Seems like they are churning out these H9 plugins - none of them are particularly spectacular and I suspect they are quite the cash cow for Eventide....
anyway - everyplugin is cheapest as usual
http://everyplugin.com/shimmerverb.html
I'm gonna take the plunge but I'm starting to think that these H9 plugs don't represent great value even at the introductory discount level...just my 2c obviously

I don't see anything in my Software Center. Is this a further update to 7.2 (posted by cclarry last week) ?
the 7.2 was the software center version (I think) - Larry's post wasn't strictly accurate...or rather it was but concerned the june (?) update.
These are updates to most of the synths themselves - fixes some of the issues that the june update brought
-
this fixed all the issues I was having in cubase - so ?

also note that this is a very "rushed" release to hit a deadline....it's not exactly bug free......

Maybe they were unable to access their customer email database too? I certainly haven't had anything from them for weeks now, which is unusual.
just put an announcement on the homepage ?
Plus they must have had some emails as people's accounts still seem to be working (I had to reset the password on mine - but the email was valid)

i like to spice production here and there with thise and what we already have in most komplete + other stuff is more than enougth ..
same here - if you look at the 'making of' video it does look like they spent quite a lot of money recording it...but too expensive for what will basically get very little use from me.
-
It shouldn't really matter but "AnyDayLong" only ever posts about "PastToFuture" stuff on gearslutz - literally never posted about anything else just "PastToFuture"- and basically every post saying how great they are:
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/members/447366-any-day-long/ (might need to be logged in to see that link)
The "real PastToFuture" has several usernames on gearslutz .....
Remember, user "facets" on Deals...definitely not anything to do with "PasttoFuture" - despite mainly posting on how amazing they are:
user "facets of sound" on KVR - who definitely is "PastToFuture"
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=543124
Personally I think it's great that vendors interact with their customers....but vendors lying and 'pretending' to be customers....I think that's totally shit TBH - and actually makes you look stupid.

Here is a quote from Heavyocity from the VI-Control :
It seems the original Damage was created with a partner agreement with Native Instruments but Damage 2 is all Heavyocity. There is an additional $100 discount on Damage 2 if you already own Damage 1.
in that case I'll pass - upgrade is far to expensive IMO
Boz Digital Labs Imperial Delay $29 (reg $149)
