  1. Hmm... I don't think we understand each other. I don't want markers to know when to resume singing (I already have my AABA sections positioned with the arranger). I would just like the nstrumental solo parts not to be played during the recording. Let's imagine that these solos are played on the B section, I would like that during the recording we only hear the AAA sections. Basically the idea would be to be able to use a cakewalk arrangement during recording
  2. Thank you for your answer, but precisely I wanted to avoid moving a portion of the track, and having to go back. I was thinking of a recording option that starts from an arrangement and not complete tracks, or even an option that allows you to deactivate the reading of a selection during recording. The idea is globally to concentrate on the part of the tracks where to record vocals, and not to listen to the rest.
  3. I want to talk about a solo part before the voice resumes 16 bars later ...
  4. Hello, I often record songs including an instrumental part, and I would like to skip this instrumental section when recording vocals, so as not to be distracted by the instrumental part. I know how to do this with the arranger while playing the song , but is there a way to do this while recording ? Thank you for your attention
  5. Thank for you answer. I tried this option, without success. Issue solved by setting the same sampling frequency in cakewalk and in the Windows sound setting:
  6. Hello, I use Apollo twin X Usb for Windows, with the cakewalk DAW (version 2022.11 for Windows) . In my workflow, I usually export a waw file of my mix and listen to it with VLC or another sound file player. But since I use the apolo sound card, even after closing cakewalk, and while VLC sends the sound to the apollo sound card, no sound comes out of VLC. I have to reset the Apollo card for the sound to come back. Is there a trick to correct or circumvent this problem? Someone told me about a "Share Drivers With Other Programs" option, available in Cakewalk Sonar 8.5. But I couldn't find anything like that in my version of cakewalk. Apart from that, I'm so happy to have discovered Cakewalk! Bests regards
  7. Thanks for your reply. Indeed if no backup is made, the instrument plugin is not lost. The problem is that we don't necessarily realize the problem right away, and we can work on and save the project before realizing it. A Warning when opening the project and loading the plug-ins would be welcome. Best regards
  8. Hello, When I forget to connect my external hard drive before opening a Cakewalk project, the plugin instrument assignment is lost. For example, I find my Instrument track with Empty for my sforzando plug-in. Is there a way to overcome this behavior (because choosing an instrument takes time and if you have to start over...) ?
  9. Dear Bandlab community It took me a while to find cakewalk and now I'm a big fan! I am looking for the equivalent to do the video editing of the song clip. Do you have freeware software to recommend? It would be too good to have freeware software of the quality of cakewalk to do the video editing ... Thank you for your attention
