  1. King Diamond - The 7th Day of July 1777 King Diamond performing Abigail in its entirety in 2015 remains one of the tightest rock shows I've seen. And the best sounding one.
  2. Reminds me of this for some reason... Proof that adapting to a new system may take some time.
  3. I came here expecting the Misfits.
  4. I've been watching a lot of these recently. Really puts things in a different perspective when people argue whether this or that guy from this or that rock band is the best drummer.
  5. Wanda Jackson - Hot Dog! That Made Him Mad.
  6. I'm usually not a fan of roasted maple but this is just too darn gorgeous. Congrats!
  7. Black Sabbath - Disturbing the Priest (from an underrated album, IMHO).
  8. Judas Priest - Love Bites (this must be like Double Jeopardy, right?)
  9. English not being my native language, LOTS of them, although I got a whole lot better after living here for a while. Things would get a little crazy when we would cover songs and I had to figure out the words - before the days of internet, and without anyone who natively spoke English to help, if they weren't printed on the sleeve, I was left to figure out what I could and extraoplate the rest. Which was embarassing, but, I had to sing something... I remember reading a John Lennon biography in 1990 and the author was saying that in the early days, when Lennon could not understand the lyrics of a song they were covering, he would just make up his own (sometimes completely absurd). That was then end of my complex. The things I sang (and mumbled) on stage from that point on, man... lol Oddly enough, maybe because Diary of a Madman was the very first album I ever bought and it had the lyrics printed on the sleeve, I developed a knack for understanding Ozzy's lyrics. I was fluent in Ozzy before I was fluent in English.
  10. I will have to check them out. I am not familiar with them at all.
  11. Faith No More (Theme from) Midnight Cowboy
  12. Huge fan. The irony is that I am not typically a fan of "prog" music (there are exceptions) but there's something about their music that just gets me on an emotional level. I have never paid much attention to how clever their music is, although I guess it is - and they are terrific musicians. But that's the last thing I would think about when I am listening to them. But if I sit here and think about it, yeah, these are some rather sophisticated tunes.
  13. And speaking ofg Lenny going digital... Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away
  14. Back on topic - The Sisters of Mercy, Walk Away.
  15. I actually had the link ready to post but I figured it'd be more interesting to hear what you guys would come up with. Hadn't heard this one in a few years. He was an inspiration back when I started recording and I was really into retro, analaog stuff. And then he transitionned to digital right when I did...
  16. They are indeed! I go through phases every now and then when I like to rewatch all those Maiden shows and docs, these included. They're among my favorite musical documentaries. Fascinating to see how Harris kept those detailed diaries, too. Back when I got into heavy metal, in the little twon where I lived, Behind the Iron Curtain and Video Pieces were pretty much the only metal music VHS you could rent. Then Live After Death came out. I guess that made the visual aspect of the band very important for us, even though I never got to see them.
