I liked it - a good inspirational song - I enjoyed following the lyrics to your song in the video. I thought your vocal was a bit too upfront in the mix - but maybe it's better that way. I would have liked to hear the acoustic guitar more in the mix. Regarding the second song - I enjoyed the lyrics. The piano was very nice. Regarding the third song - same comments - I enjoyed the lyrics. Good job on all three videos.

I thought the drum track was very cool - lots going on there. My only crit is that I wish the song had been a bit longer.

It's catchy song and I liked your vocal. "Runaway" is a good hook. Just an idea for the drums - bring in the ride on the chorus - the drum track was a bit monotonous.
-
A very cool smooth jazz number - like the other guys mentioned - I liked that snare as well. The lead guitar playing was impressive. This would make a cool TV show theme song.

"Tongue Depressor Symphony" (with video) - mix ideas??

I enjoyed the listen - it made me think a bit of Enya. I liked the piano playing very much. I thought the mix sounded fine. Interesting video - very creative. -
Hi Tom - thanks for comments and for listening. I don't hear the flat tuning you mentioned - I guess your ears are more finely tuned than mine. Regarding the song, this is the first time I've posted it. Anyway, thanks for lending your ears.

Thanks for giving it a listen.

That's a cool smooth jazz tune - I thought the drums sounded fine. I would have liked more lead guitar - there's just a bit of it in there.
-
I enjoyed listening to this one - "Spirit Wind" is a cool hook and title. I liked your vocal as well. I thought the mix sounded quite good to my ears.

That's a cool country track - was that you singing David? Nice job. That breakdown was interesting - it seemed to fit.
-
Thanks for listening - I appreciate it.

That's a very pleasant listen - inspiring as JohnBee mentioned. I thought the mix sounded quite good on the SC version. I thought the vocal sounded fine - sounds like it came from the soul - deep down. I thought the Orfium version sounded a bit better - just my two cents.
-
Very interesting drum track in the intro - that's what attracted my attention right away. Excellent lead vocal. I liked the violin as well. I enjoyed the listen - the mix sounds quite good to my ears.

I really liked the intro - nice. Wow, this is a bright mix - it works for the song. I enjoyed the lead vocal and the bgvs - nice job there. Was that a 12-string on the solo? Cool song.
-
I thought it was a lounge/trip hop sort of tune until the guitars kicked in - interesting composition.

DeeringAmps - Sorry you had to listen to Mary Contrary again - I think it was because I heard something I didn't like in the song, so I uploaded another mix. Thank you very much for listening and your comments. I'll give the kick another listen. I like the low bgv that I sang for the hook - we can agree to differ in opinion there? By the way, I sang the lead vocal with an AKG P220 - it seems to work well for my voice. I think it's tonal character is similar to my Rode NT1-A. bjornpdx - Thanks for your comments and for listening. I like the aahs as well - I added them in recently - I thought they improved the song. I'll give another listen to the guitar panned on the right side.

A cool laid-back mellow instrumental - the lead guitar playing sounded quite good - a nice jazz tone there. I thought the mix sounded quite good through my cans.
-
I get a happy, joyous vibe from this composition. The Moog sounded quite nice to my ears.

Dependence Day - Collaboration from Daryl 1968 and Lynn
Douglas Kirby replied to Lynn Wilson's topic in Songs
First off - I thought the mix sounded excellent - very up front with depth - that's what it sounded like through my cans. Sweet lead vocal - I think I've mentioned before you remind me a bit of Peter Gabriel. I think it's a good song - I really enjoyed the listen - well done guys. -
Another cool blues number from you - I especially liked your bgvs. I enjoyed the lyrics as well - nicely done.

That was a cool groove. Again this made me think of Zappa.

I enjoyed the listen Bjorn - yeah - it made me think a bit of Kraftwerk. I thought the "good posture" dialog fit well with the music. Creative as always - nice job.
