I really liked the song - especially the lead vocalist - she has a cool voice. The mix sounded good to my ears. Nicely done - I enjoyed the video as well.

Hi Tom - thanks for giving my song a listen. I did put a high pass on the guitars - perhaps I should cut a bit more. Regarding the length - it is a bit long - I guess I could classify it as an album track, not a single? Playing with the EZKeys Mellotoon was fun on this one - it has quite a few interesting voices/instruments.

Thanks for listening Daryl - I may have squeezed the mix a bit too much with Ozone - sounds like that's what you heard.

Hey David - thanks for listening - perhaps I should have a more angry tone to my voice.

Hi Bjorn - thanks for listening and for your honest opinion. This song was sort of experimental for me - I wrote the bass line first with a drum groove, and I then added everything else. I really didn't know what to do with it for awhile, so I figured I'd use EZKeys and some lead guitar parts to make it work. I know what you mean regarding the phrasing of the lyrics - but it seems to work for me - it's a bit different.

Wow that was wild - quite a listening experience.

Hi Everybody, This is a track off of the album I'm currently working on called "The Westerly Sessions Vol. IV". The lead vocal was sung with an AT4040 through an ART MPA Gold mic preamp. I also used Overloud's GEM Voice on the lead and backing vocal. The lead guitar parts were played with my Fender Strat using TH-U. The keys parts are EZKeys - mostly using the Mellotron. As always, any comments and critiques are welcome, and thanks for listening. Here it is: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14140110

Very creative Wookiee - it's always pleasant to hear songs on this forum using timing other than 4/4 - and this one worked quite well. I listened though headphones - the mix sounded quite good to my ears.

Cool song and I really liked your vocal on this - the vocal reminded me a bit of Stephen Stills. Regarding the mix - I thought it could use a bit more punch, if that makes sense - just my two cents.

Thanks for the kind words Bjorn. I enjoy writing songs, but I also enjoy mixing them in Cakewalk - so it's a bit of fun for me all around.

Thanks Paul - the guitar vst I used was Overloud's TH-U - I've been pretty happy with it since I purchased it a couple of years ago - the variety of tones is quite impressive in my opinion.

Thanks Ed - I'll give the drums and reverb another listen.
