A small but obnoxious bug - when automation is minimized its meter blocks automation values

Hello. I will be thankful when you fix it, because usually it's small things that get annoying.

Cant you drag out the separation border there ?

I could be wrong but it appears as if your vertical border is to close the track headers. grab it and drag it to the right.

No, I've already tried doing many things, and nothing  fixes this  - it's a GUI bug, definitely.

What version are you using ?

If it was a GUI bug, there would be many of us here complaining about it. I tried for 20 minutes to reproduce this and I couldn't, no matter how hard I tried.

Agree, it looks like a bug to me.  The track meter should never obscure the automation value.

@Klaus your graphic is very helpful.  Thank you for taking time to to create and post the graphic.

@Devil999 and Klaus.  May I suggest each of you submit a support report and reference this message thread in the support report.   There is a link in my signature line.

This doesn't look minimized unless you have your automation tracks set a tiny little sliver.

The reason its happening is because the meter hits the ceiling of the Automation sign. (That zipper line).

I can repro this (now I know how it is replicated) but my default Automation lane height is not this small in its closed position. Pulling the tracks lane open another micro centimeter remedy's this issue.

I hope it doesn't sound like I don't want bugs fixed because I do. Im just not sure what the alternative is. I suppose removing the Automation sign (the zipper) when closing a lane tight would do it.

Automation values can be slightly to the left of the meter when the lane is minimized.

The automation value / control widget area was enlarged to the same size as the track FX bin for 2019.09, so you should no longer see this issue:
