mettelus 631 Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) FYI - there is a typo in the main header on the Deal 1 page that reads "820GB DOWNLOAD SIZE"... it should be 82GB. Edit: Has been updated. Edited September 5, 2019 by mettelus

Especially with slow download speeds. It would probably scare off all but the bravest
Fleer 10,249 Posted September 5, 2019 82 or 820, Tomorrowland here I come
mettelus 631 Posted September 5, 2019 It has been updated. First time ever I had "download shock" 😀 Would need another drive to store that much too!
Matthew Sorrels 1,677 Posted September 5, 2019 (edited) Is that a photo of Armin Van Buuren in the walkthrough video? This product looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen. At 3:50 in the video Edited September 5, 2019 by Matthew Sorrels
John Bohlen 177 Posted September 5, 2019 It is endorsed by Armin and many other artists. ;-)
John Bohlen 177 Posted September 16, 2019 Anybody got this? Is it any good?
Fleer 10,249 Posted September 16, 2019 Well, I did. And I like it. My son’s a Tomorrowland regular, so I go with the flow.
John Bohlen 177 Posted September 16, 2019 How many Kontakt instruments are there? It boasts 10,000 "instruments", but looking back at the video it shows between 20-25 Kontakt instruments for each artist. Are the rest of the sounds just drums?
Fleer 10,249 Posted September 16, 2019 They’re divided into collections based on DJ signatures like Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, David Guetta, Skrillex, and, my favorite, Lost Frequencies. Sure, lots of percussion but mostly bass, pads and keys.
John Bohlen 177 Posted September 16, 2019 OK, thanks for letting me know. Personally, I'm not looking for any more drum sounds. Feels like they used them as "filler" to justify the "10,000" number.
Matthew Sorrels 1,677 Posted September 16, 2019 They have a playable demo on their website, might want to try it before you buy. On this page (hard to find on their site) https://www.designmybeat.com/products/virtual-instruments/tomorrowland-2-elixir-of-stars-complete-2-0-0 Click the "Download Preview" button, you do have to give your email address. John Bohlen 177 Posted September 17, 2019 I downloaded the 5+ GB demo and there's nothing to write home about. The sounds are dull and uninspiring, not to mention drenched in reverb. I get more inspiration from the factory presets on my Virus TI. There are better artist signature presets for Sylenth. There's also something shady about the pricing and marketing as there are no real reviews and endorsements as they claim on their site. Their fake sales pop-ups even run on archive.org... LOL! APD will sell you any crap.
Julayla Tovah Grimaude 274 Posted September 17, 2019 (edited) Yeah this does look fishy to me, a channel with only 69 subs, the Elixir of Stars video is unlisted on their channel, and if you go to the homepage of Design my Beat, Tomorrowland 2 Elixir of Stars is nowhere to be found. Fleer 10,249 Posted September 17, 2019 Yeah, I think it’s a bundle of their stuff. Anyway, not bad it this is your thing. My son’s quite happy.
