Kevin Walsh 214 Posted May 3 I can't tell you how many times I've forgotten to either set the selection on the timeline (or forgotten to select tracks!) before exporting audio only to end up with an empty wav file for my trouble. Sigh. I often wish I had the ability to define an "export zone" on the timeline that defined the start and end points of what gets exported that persists with the project, kind of like looping or punch regions. It would also be awesome if it reacted to ripple edits too. PS. If there's already a way to do this, or even something like it, I'm all ears!
scook 4,287 Posted May 3 Track, bus and time-based selections may be made in the track view or in the export dialog Define the export one time and save it as a task in the export dialog
Kevin Walsh 214 Posted May 3 Thanks, scook, I'll give that a try!
steve@baselines.com 273 Posted May 3 I know what you mean Kevin. One thing that I do that is along the same lines and also very annoying is to 'select all' and export only to get an empty wave file because it selected all the busses instead of tracks. It seems that this should be easy to default to selecting the tracks rather than the busses, but in the long run it is just my error.
chuckebaby 769 Posted May 3 Done this myself. But I found after doing it like 10 times.. I learned to always check the boxes (that's an expression).
