Andrés Campos Aguilar 3 Posted January 27 Hello: Hello I tried to update Cakewalk by BandLab but at the end of the installation tells me: “Access denied. Please correct the problema and run Setup again” However when I open the program it tells me that it is already updated with version 27.01.0.085 "latest version available" I Have Cakewalk by BandLab version 2021.01; Windows 10, 16 Gb Ram. Yes the update it's shown in the "About Cakewalk" poo-up window like version 2021.01. But when I open Bandlab Assistant and select Apps, it is active "Install" for Theme Editor only. Click Install and finally a window with "access denied" comes out and the installation is aborted. Thanks for your help Tecknot. Best regards Hi Andrés, try to cancel the process "WavesLocalServer" with your taskmanager before you start the setup (sndfile.dll could be locked). It's a known issue at the moment (until the hotfix is released). All the Best 2 U
0 tecknot 75 Posted January 27 Hi Andres (sorry about the missing accent in your name), Is the update shown in the "About Cakewalk..." pop-up window? (see Help menu.) If so, you should be good to go. Perhaps the error message popped-up in error. Kind regards, tecknot

0 tecknot 75 Posted January 28 How about trying to use the Hotfix (early access) update? Take note of Noel's note at the bottom of his post regarding Wave's plug-ins (if that applies). Kind regards, tecknot
0 Noel Borthwick 2,106 Posted January 28 Try rebooting your PC and retry. Also for updates you don't need to use BandLab assistant anymore. Its all done inside Cakewalk by using Help | Check for updates.
