This is part 1 of a "space" music project I'm working on.  This part is more somber and moody than  part 2 which will get more into the spacey stuff.  After listening to this you'll either be in a reflective mood or you'll be asleep   😄

That was very cool Bjorn - I like that Heavyocity Vocalise you used in this - it fit the composition well. This had a dream-like quality to it - just my impression.

Well I'm not sleeping!
Soundtrack material, no doubt about it.

So that's the voices, eh?
I like that, if I did this kind of music I'd have to take a close look at that...

Daryl, thanks for listening and commenting.
Doug, yes the Vocalise library just about steals the show.
Tom, thanks for listening and commenting
Bapu, seemed like most of the "new age" stuff I listened to back in the 80s always had whale songs in there somewhere. Hmm not a bad idea...

I dig the synth textures in this. I have listened to attempts at this kind of thing before and it ends up sounding too "spacey" for me. I thought the patches had just the right amount of attack. This makes me want to look more into the Arturia stuff.

I'll be waiting for part 2 now ;)

This shows a lot of invention.  Your musical intuition has got(ten) very advanced.  Did you ever study composition with a teacher?

Hi Bjorn,

Great piece, very mesmerising from the start - had my imagination drifting in all sorts of directions.

I like the glistening synth sound which sparkled in and out of the background - very expansive soundscape.

Thanks for sharing.

Good Job!

Very nicely done.  I really liked the Blade Runner feel it was picking up in spots. I'm going to take a close look at Heavyocity for sure.  Enjoyed it ...  mark

Thanks for the listen and comment.

The only composition study I've done is from The Complete Idiot's Guide to Music Composition which, despite its title, is pretty good. Another book that's helped me is Guitar for Dummies and again, despite its title, it's a very good learning aid.

Thank you for the kind comments.
