Banned from KVR

Recommended Posts

Just got this message from KVR:

You have been permanently banned from this board.

Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.

Reason given for ban: I can't believe that you are not a dealer... I think it's time to end this abuse of the Sell & Buy forum.

I have NEVER been a DEALER of ANY kind.

THIS is WHY you don't make "forum members" Administrators!!!
They make "judgement calls" based on their "personal assumptions" and
their own "Biases"!!!

That's absolutely crazy...

The whole idea is to discuss software/gear.

If you bring to light that someone can get a good deal on tools-of-the-trade, good on you and them.

KVR isn't what it once was...

I just sent this to KVR DIRECTLY...

I just got this message from KVR:

I have NEVER been a DEALER of ANY kind.

THIS is WHY you don't make "forum members" Administrators!!!
They make "judgement calls" based on their "personal assumptions" and
their own "Biases"!!!

I am NOT, nor have I EVER been a "Dealer" of ANY kind!!!

I've been a member of this forum for YEARS!!!  Also a member
of several OTHER forums.  I have NEVER abused your forum,

but apparently you have "Administators" who believe that they
have the RIGHT to "ban" members based on their OWN biases
and personal assumptions!

I have followed the rules of the forum, and 100% positive feedback
in the Feedback Forum for my posts, and sales, which are NOT
from a "Dealer", and I should NOT be punished, and banned, based
on your Administrators "assumptions" of "I can't believe you're not a
dealer", and THIS administrator should either be DISCIPLINED or REMOVED
from their position for ABUSE OF AUTHORITY, banning someone based
on their "Assumptions"

Sincerely,

Larry W. Shelby

Can someone explain to me why a dealer cannot post... err.... deals... in a Sell&Buy forum 🤔

How strange to ban someone who takes a huge amount of their time, for no personal gain, to provide a helpful and useful service to other forum members.

As a "Dealer" you should be posting in the "Bargains - No Chat" forum...but IK Pete, and MANY other dealers
post in the "Buy & Sell" forum CONSTANTLY.

This so called "administrator" just wants to "exercise his muscle"...which he will
regret.

Thanks @cclarry for taking the time to post here. I get a good view on new software & gizmos. As well as latest offers. This is the best deal thread in the industry thanks to your time and effort.

You’re miles above them, King L.
I have been posting less and less on other forums.
Cakeworld is Larryland.
Larryworld is Cakeland

’Nuff said.

You don't need them. I can empathize. I was banned from the violinist.com forum awhile back. My crime was posting a funny non pornographic picture of a member dancing with a parrot. Bunch of fuddy duddies.

I can't understand any sort of reasoning for why someone would be banned from posting deals in the deals area of a forum.???

I appreciate what you do.

I'd say more of a Deal Pusher 🙂 addicting us to thinking about spending money.

Ban the King WTH?  Well, you give some people(administrator) a little  bit of power.

Sorry to hear about this Larry.  You are right it doesn't make any sense. Then why have that sub-forum?

Anyway we still love your posts :)

I'm on this forum only for the deals... I really appreciate all the hard work Larry does. My wallet, not so much. 😄

I feel for you over this situation but please note that vendors are not limited to that one thread.  We are, just like any KVR user, fully authorized to post one thread of our deals in the Buy & Sell main forum.    Edit - we can and do also adhere to the 48-hour rule and others.

I don't really have pull there, but if you want to tell Ben that you're definitely not an IK dealer, I'll answer him if he'd like verification of at least that.
