  1. When selecting Lock Module Order and Center the entire CB shifts to the left instead of centering.
  2. I modified the custom module with my own choices. When I start up Cakewalk it's there but as soon as I open a project it switches back to the default. How do I make it global? TIA
  3. When lock centering or justifying the Control Bar, the Custom Module Medium Background is used to fill in the Control Bar's empty spaces. This can have some "mixed" results when repainting the background to accommodate some themes: - YLIP pg 120 I would like to request using the Background Fill graphic (currently unused?) to fill in the Control Bar's empty spaces instead.
  4. Hi there - I am using multiple Vocoder products (Harmony Engine, Tal Vocoder, OVox, etc.). I am trying to Freeze the tracks to conserve resources, however the FX aren't taking. Is there a different process for Freezing tracks that are controlled by MIDI? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  5. A permanent MIDI input chord display in the Control Bar would be fantastic! Below is my concept art: We do have the MIDI plugin "Chord Analyzer", which is good (but lacks selection of "b vs #" chord naming) but it would just be super convenient if Cakewalk at all times could display any chords detected at MIDI inputs and/or currently scrubbed. Check out how Logic Pro X has always done it: . Courtesy of the "Make Chords and Melodies Easily In Logic Pro X" YouTube video that demonstrates the live chord detection. EDIT: Updated with new correct image!
  6. I have noticed that with the latest update, the program doesn't seem to hold Display Settings or Control Bar Settings. I have a 2 monitor system that I put the main program on 1 monitor and my Console on the other and it would hold the next time it was opened, Also when I set the order of my control bar it doesn't hold the settings either. Its kind of annoying to keep resetting and dragging display and the control bar options into position. Will say no issues with functionality of base program. I've been with Cakewalk for many years and Band lab has been doing a better job on fixes than previous owners... Thanks Guys!
  7. Simple. Just like how you can right-click on the metronome play / record toggle buttons in the control bar and it'll bring up the metronome settings. I'd like one even better for dim solo since it really only has one setting to adjust, which is -dB. Right click on the dim solo button should pop open an toggle to switch between the -6, -12, and -18db solo options. Basic, not super important, but a subtle nicety. Cheers.
  8. I've been using Cakewalk since the beginning of March 2020. I'm gradually getting acquainted with all the features and am generally happy with it. I have come across what seems to me to be a bug. I configure the control bar the way I like it and then lock it. I uncheck 'auto collapse' and 'auto open" in the options menu. But every time I restart Cakewalk, it resets to the default. I've tried all kinds of variations of settings but I'm not able to save the Control Bar in the configuration that I prefer. Can anyone confirm that this is a bug, or that I'm doing something incorrectly? Thanks, H
  9. Recently upgraded to CbB. on version 26.01.0.28 My install is on Win7 64 bit (Yes, I know and acknowledge that I was warned...). Sonar X2 Producer is also installed. As I am trying to transition off of X2, I am now opening older projects in CbB and have found that portions of the Control Bar is unresponsive to the mouse; keyboard commands and the V-700 works as expected. Same behavior is seen in new projects. I have found if I collapse the modules, the controls work correctly from the pulldown view...and resizing the transport control back up returned mouse functionality in that module. Most all of the other modules do not work when they are expanded in the control bar but do work from the pulldown menu if they are collapsed and operated from the pulldown. I went back into X2 and everything is still working as it ever has there. Edited to add: the resizing trick works sometimes but not consistently. Transport is again inoperative from control bar, works from collapsed view via pulldown
