  1. "What happens if you set the export folder in preferences | File | Folder locations (bottom of list)" Don't know, but that would not help because that still won't save for individual songs.
  2. While not a major deal it would be handy if the export folder was remembered along with the other information saved with each song.
  3. My wife asked me what I wanted to be called when I became a Grandpa. I said I don't give a crap. She thought that might be a bit of a mouthful for a toddler.
  4. No pun intended Translation: The pun was absolutely definitely 1000% intended, planned and carefully placed.
  5. Just doing the dishes at home and noticing that we go through so many knives. This is somewhat better however than on having so many knives go through us.
  6. Unfortunately - far too familiar with this one.
  7. Finalizing your mixes (I dream of genie version) Do you know how to improve these mixes ? Yes Master. Can you even up the volumes ? Yes Master. Can you change the tonal balance ? Yes Master. Can you make it sound louder ? Yes Master.
  8. The new road around the corner scored well in it's final inspection. But that's because it was graded on a curve.
  9. I get my milk from a farm. And that ladies & Gentleman is a cow tip.
  10. The doctor said B12 but I've been there before and I'm pretty sure I can't do that again. Besides you know Acne.
  11. The headphones thing is the easy one if you want to use the 1/8" jack, converters are easy to find.
  12. "It" is about 1,200 songs & jams. I've been working on this for a very long time.
  13. I like to put my songs on my iphone or Ipod but Itunes does not always work properly & is a bit of a pain in the Butt. Does anybody have thoughts on bypassing Itunes to move files from a PC ?
  14. I prefer external hardware hardware by a long shot. Advantages: Less load on PC Faster Response less latency No software issues when the software decides it doesn't want to work anymore (happens way too often) No licensing issue Fewer DAW problems Disadvantages: Must record all hardware output to the DAW when you make changes You may want to record each instrument to it's own track (I tend to record one mix track if I can - but this limits capability for mixing later)
  15. She had no children but she was still the muttering type. I couldn't understand a word she said.
  16. Ahh how time twists the memory a bit. I did have the general idea though.
  17. And then there is that old Far Side cartoon: "You're right Marvin I did find my drill on Blueberry Hill."
  18. I have only done this few times but did not have a problem when I did. And I was using an eight year old machine when I did it. However the file would have been all external midi and no audio. This is a much lighter load on the machine. I only use the Arranger to work out the sequencing of the parts with just a few tracks and fill in everything else after. So my example may not be the best if you have a heavy load.
  19. With more than a thousand files from 30 years there is no way I can remember these changes so this type of arrangement works for me as I still make changes to even the oldest files.
  20. "In the meantime though, for your particular scenario....." Thank you - yes I like that and have just tried it. I like the larger font than what I used to get with the clip names, you know these old eyes and all.....
  21. I've mention this before but this time I have kind of a usable solution. I don't like the way when you commit an arrangement you lose all but 1 arranger track. So what I have ended up doing is saving a copy as "Temp" before committing the arrangement. After the committing I copy back the second arranger piece by piece until I have restored the second arranger track. Note that: I have to duplicate the remaining Arranger track then paste over the copy because it doesn't seem to go into the empty track. It's kind of a pain but it does work. It would be nice to change this function to keep all arranger tracks on commit.
  22. Our local hardware store is in a valley. So as you traverse your way down the hill towards the store you've got the loews on one side & the highs on the other.
