Fixed: apparently, you only had to leave the program for about 10 minutes until it started. After that first time, it starts to start normally.

Thank you. I've already tried all of that and a lot more, but nothing seems to work. I had to install a version of Sonar Platinum in order to finish a job that I have to deliver today. Too bad, I really wish I could get the Cakewalk working again

Hi. Please could you give me more information about how you solved it? Cakewalk has not worked for several hours. It gets stuck in the black window with the name of the program, but it doesn't progress any further than that. Neither do the blue signs on the bottom left that appeared earlier.
