  1. For this price I could also get a Valhalla reverb. I'm always postponing the Valhalla stuff 'cause of deals like these. Anyone have experience with this one and, say, VintageVerb for instance, and would mind sharing. Thanks in advance.
  2. "A fully-functional 15-day trial version is available for evaluation."
  3. I think different, Simon, but I also think that you have the right to feel this way. I was also pissed off when they started the subscription thing and raised the sale prices a lot but my reaction back then was to stop buying (even plugins that I wanted A LOT, like their synthesizers). As I said in some other post/thread, I believe that they are now trying (or maybe being forced) to reconsider their practices and are back to more reasonable prices (I mean... in the $20-$70 range with the promos). As you said, YMMV.
  4. I only have Mello (that I got for free) and Digital Synsations (that I paid $20 for) and my 'upgrade' price is $349. I'm not much fan of sampled synthesizers anyway...
  5. I didn't thought about that. In fact I never considered giving away my vouchers 'cause I always end up using them. Anyway, I think this would not be fair to PA. I could even give away some duplicated licenses, If I had, but... the personal vouchers... I don't know. I'm in the same boat What comes to the rescue are the special promotions in my plugin list. For instance this month, if nothing more interesting comes, I have the option to get BYOME for $24 with my voucher. But those options are becoming more and more scarce.
  6. In the past they sometimes sent the deal's schedule for the month in advance. Maybe we can ask them to return to those practices.
  7. Clearly the key rule is: you can't get plugins for free. Of course if you buy nothing you will end up spending zero the same way. If the voucher system is a way to reward loyal customers this higher limits are punishing them instead, somewhat. Maybe a better system would be imposing this minimum spend no matter how much the voucher value is. That way the customer would be able to get the plugins he/she wants, even at the expense of 'wasting' part of the voucher's value. At least, the choice would be in our hands.
  8. And don't forget to check the special offers in your plugin list. They depend on what you already have and the prices are not so low but they are always available, independent of PA doing sales or not.

    PA Pick A Code

I have only one or two Audio Assault plugins. I'm not saying that they're not good but... many times I have the impression that they are just copies of some more expensive plugins from other companies (maybe even modeled after them, but I'm just guessing here). For instance, Head Crusher is a cheeky copy of Soundtoys Decapitator. Too similar to be just coincidence. I don't like and don't encourage this kind of approach. As for Plugin Alliance maybe I'm just lucky. When I started buying their products they were really expensive. But then they started giving those vouchers and... well... Here´s a list of the plugins I got for free (zero, zilch, nothing): Unfiltered Audio Fault, Vertigo VSC-2, Millennia TCL-2, ProAudioDSP DSM v3, SSL bx_Console E. And for $5 I got: ADA Flanger, ENGL E646 VS, Unfiltered Audio Zip. For $9 I got the bx_Subsynth. And so on... I'm not saying that these are the best audio plugins of the entire universe but, IMO, they're far from being just disk drive space takers. As I said... maybe I'm just lucky 😉

    PA Pick A Code

Me too, Fleer, got many PA plugins for nothing or almost nothing. I'm just saying that I'm happy they (apparently) found a way to keep their business and, at the same time, kept delivering quality new products at a price that I can (at least) afford. I compare them quality wise to companies like Softube or FabFilter, for instance, but I have very few plugins from the former (the modular stuff basically) and absolutely *none* of the latter just because of their average prices (and *never* got any plugin dirty cheap or free from both). And I'll not even start talking about the price of some symphonic/orchestral libraries so often praised around here. In that sense I feel that the bad comments about PA (here, there and everywhere) are a bit unfair. They made a bad move (IMO) by going subscription and, for a while, raising their average prices a lot but I think they are now looking for the middle term and trying to find a way to keep their old and new customers happy. At least for me, it's working. I also agree that the entry values are a bit high. I'd not get most of their new products (like the new amp sims for instance) at the current prices/discounts/conditions. It's just that, for me, the 3 plugs I mentioned reached a price point that I think worth the effort to get (despite the fact that I also do not earn my salary in dollars or euros and I'm always at disadvantage dealing with currency exchanges. And uncle Donald is not helping a lot in that regard also).

    PA Pick A Code

Hummm... you mean the older PA plugins. The least I paid for a PA plug from this new breed was $25. The $4 mark would be nice but I guess not sustainable for their line of business. And although I don't like software subscriptions, at least they are keeping a (IMO) reasonable price for those who prefer buying their licenses.

    PA Pick A Code

While still on hangover from the last BF I could not resist and used the 2 vouchers to get the Focusrite console, Shadow Hills compressor and Unfiltered Audio Lion synth. For an average of $46 each I think it was a very good deal, considering the quality of this plugins.

    D16 Lush 101

This is one of my favorite VA Synths. I paid $100 for it a while ago and never regretted. For this price it's a bargain.
  14. "Logic clearly dictates that the need of many outweigh the need of few "... or... something like that 🤔 I'm sure mr Spock was talking about plugins back then.

    PA Vouchers!

Got SPL Iron for $45. A little cheaper than Shadow Hills and a better bang for the buck IMO.
  16. This guys have very interesting tools for very reasonable prices. https://decoda.app/
  17. I also was wishing to get the K12 Ultimate. But after thinking a lot I decided to postpone this and got the K12 standad upgrade. My reasoning: The 2 instruments I wanted most were Kontakt 6 (with the 3 new play series instruments) and Massive X and those were included in the K12 standard. The MOD pack effects and the most interesting expansion packs (IMO) were also included. From all the remaining content I was mostly interested in orchestral stuff. With the money I saved by getting the standard upgrade instead of the Ultimate ($200) I was able to get the Vienna Special Edition vol 1 for $150. And with the remaining $50 I got the Super 8 synth, also in my wish list since released. In the end I am happy with my decision. I'm not sure how the changes in NI for the next year will be (they announced an option for a subscription plan) but I'm more or less confident that they'll keep the possibility to buy and upgrade licenses. I'll get the Ultimate upgrade one day.
  18. Confirmed. The code is valid at checkout.
  19. The highlights for me were (in no particular order): Komplete 12 Upgrade (standard) NI Super 8 Wavesfactory Trackspacer Vienna Special Edition Volume 1 u-He Bazille DDMF Metaplugin TAL U-NO-LX (finally!!!) I got some other nice plugins that I would rather postpone buying but I didn't just to avoid losing the (rare) occasion (like Ozone 8 for $49) or a good value voucher (err... Plugin Alliance of course).
  20. I'll wait to get MDMX for $29. And, as I have the Abbey Road collection, the upgrade to complete it with the new plugin is $24 directly from waves. I'm quoting Koby to see if he has a better price. I'll also WUP the whole collection in the process, bringing them to v11. Edith: Koby replied. The upgrade will be $21 at EP. Judith: Bought. Received. And, yep, all the Abbey Road pack has been WUPed 👍
  21. I had an eye on metaplugin for some time. I was initially interested in its combine/routing capabilities. But now when some (many?) DAWs are going 64 bit only it's an even more interesting tool as it works as a host for older 32 bit plugins also.
  22. I was hoping bx_oberhausen or Lion would be included. Well... I'll get Thorn and SSL G Channel then. With my personal voucher the'll be $25 each. Not exactly what I wanted but not bad at all. Maybe next month.
  23. Ol' Pal, the main site looks unstable (sometimes in, sometimes out). Try reaching the store page directly: https://store.soundtoys.com/product/

    VST Buzz BF Deals

How about the Aria Orchestral Bundle? Of course I'm mostly interested in the solo strings. It's cheap enough to stretch my budget a little and get it together with K12 Ultimate.
