  1. I can't remember, is the old Cakewalk Drum Replacer available as a plugin? Can I use it in Studio One?
  2. I'm thinking I may already have something like this. XLNAudio has Addictive Trigger. Does Waves make one? Who else? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Introducing MDrumReplacer for $35. We are proud to announce a new plugin in our drum editing section. MDrumReplacer will fix any foul drum recording within a few seconds by replacing the drums with sounds recorded using the top-notch drum-kits. With MDrumReplacer no drum recording is gone for good. No matter if it‘s about bad hits, bad mics positions or you just hate the entire drumset. MDrumReplacer fixes all that in two steps. You can simply run the detector and choose a sound you want the unwanted hits to be replaced with.
  3. And as a reminder, to add this to your Abbey Road Collection: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Waves no longer allows dealers to "build upgrades". You have to go to your Waves account, and select the Upgrade that you want from what's available, and then select "Customize". At the bottom of the customize page is an option to "buy from a dealer", which will then request your email address and then send you a "code" which you must supply to the dealer so that they can do the upgrade. Just an FYI... Edited January 4, 2020 by cclarry
  4. THE STREETLY TAPES - VOLUME 5 for M-Tron Pro® In terms of musical instrument design and production, Mellotron® history is long, complicated and full of intrigue. But in this today's world one thing stands out, Streetly Electronics are the only current manufacturer providing direct lineage to those early 60s instruments guaranteeing authenticity. The Streetly Tapes - Vol 5 contains some of the rarest 'Tron sounds ever recorded. Guitar gems from Adrian Belew (King Crimson) and Steve Hackett (Genesis) along with a show-stealing 12 String Guitar. Bass Clarinet & Bass Flute (a sound perfectly complimenting the original and iconic MkII Flute) align beautifully with the fabulous Winds n Reeds. Vol 5 also offers a number of unusual sounds, especially the Uriah Heep SFX tape bank recorded from master tapes so the band could faithfully recreate those parts on the road, but also highlighting the importance of this early sample player, the Mellotron®. THE STREETLY TAPES - VOLUME 5 for M-Tron Pro® is released today with an introductory 50% OFF!
  5. Showing up as $23.97 for me at everyplugin.com using the AR collection discount. I tried the yny23 code but couldn't if it's working or not.
  6. Has anyone found the XLN MIDIpaks at any of the discounters? So far, I've only found them on the XLN website at 40% off.
  7. It's part of Mercury! But you have to log into your account and manually download the latest version.
  8. $131.98 to upgrade Studio from rev 4 to rev5. Saves $17. Hoping for better.

  11. Love it! I learned to appreciate classical music by watching all those Looney Tunes interpretations.
  12. Just now bought the upgrade from JRR with the FORUM discount code. Worked for me!

  15. OK, thanks, Grem. Sounds like I can do away with ST3 once it has converted the ST2 files.
  16. Abacab, understood. My question was about the ST2 format. Does ST3 only "read" ST2 formats or does it actually convert them to ST3? If I save away the ST2 files that ST3 uses, and then save them back again, are they still accessible to ST4? In other words, will I always need ST3 present to access my ST2 files? Or, once ST3 converts them, can I save them away with no need for ST3 anymore?
  17. Do the ST2 sounds reside inside the ST3 folders? When imported into ST3, have they been converted to ST3 format (as opposed to ST3 reading the older ST2 format)? When I restore from backup, say after I install a larger HD, will I need to re-import the ST2 files or do they look like ST3 files now? All this to say, once I import them into ST3, can I treat them as ST3 files from now on?
  18. I can think of a couple of options: 1) Melodyne can convert audio to MIDI. 2) Rout the audio to Jam Origin's MIDI Bass input and save the MIDI output.
  19. My Izotope download/install manager does not show a Tonal Balance Bundle, but only individual products. So it looks like I have 2 Ozone 9 Advanced licenses. One is now for sale. PM me, please, if interested.
  20. Used my NewPassword code at JRR to upgrade my Ozone9 Advanced to the Tonal Balance Bundle. Now I have two Ozone Advanced serial numbers! Is the new one stand-alone? Will it work for someone else if I sell it? Personal sales are not allowed here, correct?
  21. Alright, this is what I've been waiting for...
  22. I just got thru listening to all these as well as 8DIO, which is currently having a sale and it seems to me Amplesound and Orangetree sound the best. Now I have to wait for a sale. Plus, Amplesound has the only Guild acoustic bass instrument I've found, which I'm also interested in. Thanks, everyone!
  23. I'm having a difficult time getting clean recording of classical guitar because of the sympathetic vibrations of the open/non-played strings droning on and on. I guess my technique is not refined enough. So I'd like to convert my playing to MIDI (via Melodyne or JAM Origin) and try sample replacement. Which classical/nylon-stringed VSTi instruments include hammer-ons and pull-offs? Thank you! Paul
