standalone version that can be setup to roundtrip in resolve

What does this mean? I've been using Davinci Resolve a lot with my regular music plugins but I'm wondering what the roundtrip thing is. Maybe I could be using them even more than I thought!

Not sure what your "my DAW" is, but selecting "Update Plug-in List" in Studio One (forces a re-scan of the Wave Shells at DAW start-up).

That did the trick for me in Studio One. The updated v14 Wave Shells were not automatically scanned at startup until I did this.

Cakewalk had no issues with the updated plug-ins, as it always seems to check the Wave Shells. But in Reaper VST preferences I had to "Clear Cache and Re-scan" to get v14 working.

If it's Ableton, holding down cmd (or alt on Windows) when you click rescan in the plugin preferences will do a full scan.

  3. It's sort of weird because they mention that you'll have plugins up to the version when they launched the subscriptions so it seemed like it was over, with a Waves Update Plan or not.

But I just got an e-mail from them that also says:

    What about plugin updates?

Waves Creative Access keeps all your plugins updated, always. You will get all updates for the plugins in your subscription, at no extra cost: no need for the Waves Update Plan. However, If you still have a valid Waves Update Plan, you will continue to enjoy all its benefits until it expires.

So maybe there's hope for a V15 update on plugins with a current WUP?

For me as of today, this is not painful in the least.I am WUP'd until 25, Jan 2025 so I have 22 months to decide if I freeze where I am of sub up.

Unless I'm missing something, how will WUP help in this case? I'm regretting my WUPping because they specifically mention we won't be getting new versions of the plugins past V14 (and it's always been that we get updates within the same version number whether we're WUPped or not.

This text seems to mean the time remaining on the Waves Update Plan is... useless?

    Though maybe I missed something.

Ah, bummer! The original message didn't have an expiration other than "the month" but yes, I found an email saying that they expired on the 24th.

That was generous of you to offer though!

But I agree with you regarding their targeting of loyalty offers

I'm not complaining. There was a great offer for Ozone Advanced in my Izotope account at one point, but it was for people upgrading from an earlier Advanced version. I only had Ozone Elements. I asked them if it would work and they replied quickly saaying they sometimes send more generous offers to some clients and if it's in my account, the Advanced upgrade will work. And it did!

I still remember they doubled the upgrade price a year or so ago. gets ya.

Yeah, I was a sucker and bought it because 1) the price was going up and 2) future M1 native version.

They dropped the price twice so far to wayyyy below what I paid and they keep pushing the M1 version back.

So yeah, I fell for it lol
