  1. It seems to make sense that the Pro Channel is turned off when freezing a track. You froze the track with the PC settings, and if the PC stayed active, you would be doubling all the components that you froze your track with. That wouldn't be such a good idea if you're using EQ or any other s/x. You still have the option of reactivating any component of PC if you need to. Your effects bin is also disabled, as I recall, but it can be reactivated too.
  2. I updated to to the latest version and continued to have the same problem with detection. I emailed Celemony, and they responded the next day. However, here's their reply: Hello Lynn, thanks for the mail. We’re aware of this issue but so far cannot reproduce it on our systems. We need to wait until we can to find out if the issue is with us or Bandlab. Since I still had the installer in my download files, I deleted the new Melodyne from my programs and re-installed Melodyne 4.1.1, and it works like a charm. Perhaps someone from Bandlab could work with Melodyne to solve this...
  3. Great song and demo. I've been using SD3 for the past 6 months, and I keep coming back to the funk kits for their depth. However, in you case, both versions rock! It's like cooking, which spice do you prefer?

Another example of your versatility, Bjorn! It reminded me of "Lord Of The Rings" music. I'm waiting for the Elves to knock on my door
  5. Brilliant, James! Neat chord progression and guitar tones all the way through. The drumming is very good, and this song is begging for a video. Upper tier through and through.
  6. What a catchy and clever tune! Your vocals stand out in this, and they're almost always my favorite part of your songs. I would like to hear a bit more low end in this mix, but I can live with it as is. Besides U2, I hear a little REM, too. Can't wait to hear your next song!

    BIG JOHN

I've always thought that when you do a cover song, either do it exactly like the original or own it yourself. You own this version like Johnny Cash owns "Hurt". I like everything about this.
  8. None, whatsoever. However, my ears are not as finely tuned as yours or others. I mainly hear good taste!

Another outstanding instrumental, Bjorn! Boy, you have quite an arsenal of synths, but, they don't play themselves.
  10. It sounds good on my speakers and headphones, Rob. Keep up the good work.
  11. What's new is now available in the "product release" section. Finally, a ripple edit indicator in track view!! They listen.
  12. Wow, that's a lot of sound, yet it all mixes together quite well. The performances are terrific, as is the arrangement. I've noticed that the quality of songs keep improving on this forum, and this is one of the best.
  13. Great collaboration, guys! It has everything I like to hear in a song and mix. I'll be replaying this from time to time, so keep the songs coming.
  14. I really enjoyed listening to this song, and you've received good suggestions for the mix. Once you get it right, this will be a gem!
  15. I've learned that if the bass gtr is competing with the kick drum, it's sometimes easier to treat the drum rather than the bass gtr. The thing is, there's no hard and fast rule except trust your ears. I've found that checking my mixes through speaker emulation software like Mixchecker Pro can help a great deal to overcome deficiencies in the mix room.
  16. I suddenly lost my stand alone version of Codex, couldn't find it anywhere and finally got in touch with Waves. They promptly sent me an email telling me to look for it under program files (x86)>Waves where it was under the Plug-ins V9 file. I never thought to look there because it is a 64 bit VST3 file, therefor, I thought it would be under the program files of my C drive. I was wrong, but was able to get the stand alone version from there. Make sure you scan your (x86) files.
  17. I just installed the update a short while ago and gave it a spin. Unfortunately, it still doesn't remember the default for the algorithm that I want (melody). The blobs are still in a straight line until I click on melody in the algorithm setting. Is anyone else getting this, too?
  18. l like your version of this song better than the original. You apply that secret sauce of yours to anything you do. Two thumbs up!
  19. I know of someone with thousands of post on the other forum, but 99% of those post were one word replies to someone else's posts. Big deal! Very little edification.
  20. Your mother would be proud of this. You have a way with melodies that stay with you for awhile. Keep up the good work, John!
  21. I love this recording because it makes me feel like I'm in the room with you. I feel this in my chest as well as my head. Very well done!
  22. This is a terrific song - the kind that I like to listen to. The main thing that stood out to me was the brightness of the acoustic and electric guitars. Perhaps a db or two of 200-350hz would warm up the acoustic. I agree with Will about changing mics, but other than that, this song is a gem.
  23. "Thanks and you too Lynn - don't forget you owe me a colab!" Yes, indeed! I just updated my thesaurus!😊
  24. David, I've always been impressed by your chord progressions and melodies. This song is brilliant, from its sparse arrangement to its terrific performances. Jen's vocal is truly rich and amazing. This is the first thing I've heard all day, so I'm looking forward to a good day.
  25. Happy New Year to all. May we all be prosperous and creative this year!
